First Post. Need help with price
These are the prices I got from other dealers for that same truck. 41000 out the door and 38000 plus ttl. I live in connecticut, I don't know of any dealers around here that are closing. The dealerships around here act like nothing is going on and business like usual.
I called the dealership that had the 35000 price and told him that he had to go lower or no deal. And he said no deal. Its a sweet truck and really like it but with the uncerntainty of dodge and with not being able to sell this car down the road is leaning me towards another brand.
I find it rediculous that these dodge dealerships are trying to sell these things so close to msrp, but I know that stock in this area is getting low. This is one of two trucks within a 300 mile radius equiped like this but I also priced out a truck with less options and they were still unwilling to negotiate a better price given the circumstances. I also wanted it white but had to settle for what is in stock in the area.

I said in my earlier post that things are different now than they were 2 months ago, and I would think they are only going to get more expensive for the consumer. As the lots get emptied, where is the incentive to drop the price? This is EXACTLY why the plants were idled and superfluous dealers were shown the door. Chrysler have restricted availability on two counts, and consequently pushed the market up. A legitimate business practice. Oversupply and vicious dealer competition seriously eroded margins.
In case you're considering another truck (and I guess the Silverado or F-150), then neither of those have coil springs. Nor do they have 400hp/400lb ft.
A rapid decision on your part may save you some money, if you want the best truck.

basically agreeing w/ all others here, but to sum up:
the market on these trucks apparently bottomed out 6 - 8 weeks ago and may/probably never approach those levels again.
that being said, the rams will most certainly continue to increase in sales price for the next 4 - 6 months or until the supply is replenished. so in short, you should probably by now unless you can wait 6 months to purchase.
my dealer (5 star & not closing) has only a few trucks left and they are asking about the same as the OP was quoted. they have not had a truck w/ popular options like ramboxes or nav on the lot in almost a month.

I got my truck when insentives were still high. EP, Finance insentive, hemi insentive and another that I cant remember. MSRP was 40k and I got $7,500. The next month (May) everything went haywire, closing dealers paniced before they got things worked out with other dealers and 10k+ off deals were poping up everywhere. Seems like those deals are few and in between now. That deal sounds decent to me, but if you are interested PM me for dealer contact info. The have a ton of trucks now that they are getting them from closing dealers. I live in a depresed area so I dont think they have much action right now. You may be able to work something out over the phone or internet. Here is a link to their inventory. http://www.beavercountyauto.com/new-...lear&=&start=0
Another option is wait till the 4th of July sales, they really try to push deals through during this weekend.
I really don't care what you do, but this is by far the best truck dodge ever made. A lot of R&D went into them and with everything that has happened this year I don't know what will be offered in 2010. Good luck hunting.

I have offers all over the state to TX for a 4X4 SLT with bucket seats and the Lone Star package plus the standard hitch and larger fuel tank saying I want to drive off the lot for $30,000. So far the best offer given has been $31,150 plus TTL which it looks like it might be the best.
Sticker price on the truck I want ranges from $40,400 to 41,000 depending on options. Just talked to a dealer in Houston that said dealers had about $5000 in incentives plus the average $5000 mark-up. He just gave me an example of a deal he could make on a Laramie that listed at $47,500 that he said he could let go for $37,000. He said closed dealers inventory list should circulate next week and may help things but thinks pricing has bottomed.
I apprear to have a good lead on some trucks at a Boerne, Tx dealership that has over 300 trucks in stock (we like trucks in Texas), but they seem to want to play games and will not make a counter offer until I come down. They did say that the discount on the trucks now are determined by the trucks, one truck may only have $5000 worth of factory incentives while the truck next to it may have $9000. So it appears some that luck is involved also. Guess I will make the 70 mile drive from Austin this weekend and see what happens.
Meador Doge in Fort Worth has a lot of trucks in stock also. Hope some of that ramble helps.
