First Post. Need help with price
Depends on what you want to do with it. Numerically lower gears (3.21,3.55) will give you better milage. Numerically higher gears (3.92) will increase your towing capacity.
Boy racer types also like the numerically higher gears because it launches the truck faster off the line.
If you are not going to pull heavy trailers and are not looking for fast drag race times, the 3.55's are a good mix between power and gas mileage. You can still tow a decent amount.
If you want fast times and max pulling power go with the 3.92's. Forget about mileage. You can expect 13's in the city and 17-18 on the highway.
If you are not going to pull anything and don't want fast acceleration with the best fuel economy, go with the 3.21's. You can achieve 22 mpg with them on the highway.
The 3.92 is the only set to come with the limited slip. If you are going to go off road, you want a limited slip. You can always add one to the 3.55/3.21's for under 1000$.

Come to Arizona. I can get you a SMOKING DEAL at a dealer near me!
My LOADED 4X2 Laramie had a 47k sticker. I traded-in my 06 Charger Daytona (owned it outright) and ended up only financing $21k out the door. I got $10,400 off MSRP.
BTW, my truck with the 5.7L HEMI and 3.92's, (only 500 miles on the truck at the time), I was able to squeeze 20.8 mpg on a 35+ mile highway trip last week!

Finally took the plunge myself. Paid $31,000 +TTL for a truck that MSRP at $41,450. Not the deal that I an envisioned, but trucks that I had found around the state were being sold. My problem was that I did not qualify for any of the incentives which could easily add up to $2,000.
Oh well, its done. And I am the owner of a infeno red 4X4 that my daughter thinks see picked out.

Hey Nate, are the sticker prices you're showing MSRP or the dealer price? I had a dealer price of 42,700 or so and an MSRP of 37,185 and walked out the door with my SLT for 24,999.01. At a different dealership, that I told I wanted 20,000 off of the truck, they basically treated me like a child and talked down to me. I gave them a piece of my mind due to the way they were talking to me and I went down the street to another dealership. The manager played ball with me and granted I didn't get my 20,000 off but I got awfully close. I received a call back from the other dealership a week later offering me the price of 28,000. I've always found it the best strategy to just find the truck you want, offer them something ridiculous and when they say no you just say ok and walk out. Every auto maker is hurting right now, especially the ones that are in the truck business. Let us know how you do!
