For those who's key fob stops working....
#192
I recently took my Ram into the dealer for the fob issue, trying to get something replaced for free before the 1 yr anniversary, lol. Of course the service manager said that unless he can duplicate the condition(Mine acts of periodically)he can't do anything about it.Well of course my fob worked fine, the funny thing is though, I think one of his tech's took the fobs apart and replaced the batteries, both of them work better than before. One of my co-workers has the same issue,I messed around with his and his will work if I pressed the unlock button really hard. Mine use to do the same thing, I've heard of people on this forum taking their fobs apart and bending the contacts and repalcing the batteries, just a thought.

My truck is scitzo (sp), 2 weeks ago it took over 50 pushes on the fob to get it open - it didn't make any difference if my phone charger was charging or not, where I was parked or the type of weather.
Fast forward to Friday, my fob and truck have been acting like they did when it was new - go figure???
My Vette on the other hand, has a keyless start, but when my phone charger is hooked up, it refuses to recognize my key fob and I must unplug it if I don't want to place the fob in the default plug to start it up.

As I've mentioned in a previous quote, mine has done this since the day I drove it home...in fact, on the WAY home from the dealership. Truck had less than 30 miles on it too.
Anyway, I have happened to have the door still open when trying to lock it with the fob before, and have discovered that when the issue with the fob not working occurs, the door lock button IN THE DOOR PANEL DOESN'T WORK EITHER. So it doesn't seem to be just an issue with the fob, but the entire unlock electrical system.

My key fob started screwing up a month ago, couldn't unlock the doors, and now remote start wont work unless i am right next to vehicle. After it happening a multiple times I took it to the dealership and when I explained what it was doing to one of the techs he knew exactly what I was talking about and said Chrysler issued a flash update for the truck and that it will fix the problem. I didn't have time on my lunch time to get it done but will be taking it back in the morning and see if it fixes it. If someone has had this done did it fix the problem.

Well this is great...
So now not only does the fob just randomly stop working, but it will also automatically roll down my windows without me pressing anything. Came out to my truck one day with the windows completely down. Glad nothing was stolen. Then today as I was checking the oil, I saw them roll themselves down on their own! My keys were on the bench! I didn't even know they could remotely roll down in the first place.
So that's it. I don't know what it is, but these jackasses are getting it back until they fix it.

did you get your manifold studs yet? I think you go the same place as me, you have to call them and order them that is the only way you can get them. Call service. Or are you with a different dealer now. W C ?
