Would You Buy A Ram Next Time?
I buy the best products... I test drove Chevy, Ford, Toyota, and Dodge 1/2 tons. Chevy sucks. If you didn't get that, here it is again. Chevy sucks. We have two Chevy company trucks that can't stay out of the garage. I love old Chevys up to the mid 80s Monte Carlos, but they have really when down the crapper. Fords are nice and I gave them a lot of consideration. If I got a truck last year it would have been an F-150. Their down fall is not having a model comparable to the quad cab and I can't believe they are still using the stupid half doors in the rear. The tundra was nice but missing a lot for the price tag. Toyota trucks seem to always be below standard in the interior.
In the end dodge offered the perfect size truck with an interior that blew me away, although I wasn't crazy about the rear suspension. I think it will be hard to replace this truck when the time comes. I'm afraid the government will use a communist approach to only allow low hp gas friendly pieces of sh*t to hit the market in the future.
Now if I could,ve afforded a 2500, I would have went dodge without wasting my time with anything else. Cummins Rocks.

the only reason ford didnt recieve any money is because they sold land rover, aston martin, jaguar branches and also thier mazda shares
so basically they did what gm did (sell hummer and saturn) but ahead of the curve... them not taking money had nothing to do with the quality of ford vehicles.... they just had more cash on hand then the other guys

The credit line has saved Ford so far, who is burning through cash just about as fast as the other two, but in the end it may hurt them. GM & Chrysler have gotten rid of a lot of debt/obligations and have fairly favorable terms now on their debt. If sales don't pick up soon enough and Ford has to start making payments on that loan, they may quickly fall behind to the new leaner GM & Chrysler.
I too am not brand loyal. I am one that likes gadgets and overall look / feel of my vehicles. I am also a first time Dodge owner. Before I bought my Laramie CC loaded I drove similar trucks, the CC Tundra, Sierra Denali and the F150 Platinum.
Coming from a 2005 F150 King Ranch I drove the F150 Platinum first. Liked it until I returned it and jumped in the Laramie CC. Night and day difference in ride, comfort, cabin noise and overall user friendly dash. The 09 F150 was very sluggish, dash and controls has cluttered configuration but was fairly confortable. I did like the Nav / radio display and user interface better on the Ford though. Back seat area was plentiful with seats up or down.
Drove Tundra CC twice. Love the rear window feature in the Tundra. Dash and controls were not as user friendly. Rear seat recline feature is very nice, plenty of room. Decent acceleration but no Hemi! Ride not near as good as Dodge. Cost a bit more as well.
The Sierra Denali was the closest in ride to the Dodge, in my opinion. The only reason I didn't get this truck is because we have a 2007 Denali XL and the interior is IDENTICAL to it AND it does not offer the RamBox!!!
As a first time Dodge Ram owner I am mostly happy with the truck. As with anything in life there are disappointments and dislikes. But nothing I can't overlook or replace. Selling points for me would be the RamBox (ingenious!), floor storage, uConnect (I know other have similar but this is my first Bluetooth system), vented seats, Hemi power, appearance, dash simplicity and did I mention the RamBox???
Would I buy another? Like I said, I am not brand loyal so my answer would be maybe. If someone else refines / perfects the RamBox feature I would surely look at it.

I would for sure buy another ram. Like many have said, it is a night and day difference between the ram and any other truck. The ride alone sold me on the ram. If the new 2500s were out, and they rode well, and had the new styling, i would have considered buying one (do i need a 2500, no, but it would be nice).
I am currently shopping for a chevy for my father, and i totally see a quality, ride, features, everything difference between the two. I keep trying to talk the old man into getting a ram, but he is pretty brand loyal, and wanting a 2500 he doesnt want to buy a 3rd gen dodge. Oh well, maybe i can convince him to hold out another 6 months until the 2010 2500s come out.

Three words: Cummings Turbo Diesel
He wants gas, and the chevy 6.0l vortex engine isnt to terrible. For the little towing he does, diesel isnt really worth it for him. Thats why i keep trying to push him into buying a 1500 ram, but he wants the tow rating for when he needs it. I guess he hasnt had a problem since his current chevy is a 2500 with gas and it tows what he wants.
I probably would... it depends on what everyones offering in 2015 or whenever really..
i love my truck.. but the vibrations are starting to tick me off..
im at a red light.. look down at my water bottle and its shaking worse than if i had two 12s inside the truck...
and ive had 2 12s inside my truck before..
