Default Herculinered my bed.

So, I got the Herculiner kit the other day at O'reilly's auto parts. It listed for 89.99 but was on sale for 69.99. I also got a 20$ mail in rebate. I will end up paying 49.99 for it.

The hardest part is the sanding. It came with a green pad for scuffing, I opted for sandpaper and went to town.

Two coats later, this is what I have. There is some left in the gallon can for touch ups too.

I did this so that the bed looks nice when I put on the Undercover tonneau.

What does Dodge Forum think?

I just did it, but so far, I like it. I will keep you informed though.

I never had Rhino or Linex, but for what I paid, I should be set.

I had the roller ready, but never used it. The brush seemed to work just fine.

I did mine also with the roller, it makes it a bit more uniform. I also did the 2nd coat within the 24 hr period. Looks just as good as linex. I did the Herculiner on all my previous pick ups and never had a rust problem. On top of that I put in the under rail bedliner.

The first coat was still tacky when I did the second coat. I sat on plastic container lids to make sure I didn't stick.

I also got up under the bed rails.

How slippery is it? Would using the roller have given the liner more of a texture?

It has a pretty good texture. The pics don't show it.

I will keep everyone updated as I use it.

Looks good! Best thing is the cost...great deal...and you did a good job applying it. I think theres plenty texture.
