4.7 Vs. Mustang GT, Mustang got beat!
I have to say I am very proud of my 4.7. On my way home a few minutes ago I pulled up to the line next to a Mustang GT. I said to myself "Well I probably can't beat him but let's see how close I can stay with him". The light turned green and we both punched it (it was easy to tell he punched it to because he had an exhaust system) anyway I stayed with him and pulled away. I thought to myself "he must be palying with me". So we got to another light and I could hear him reving his engine, the light turned green and we punched it again and again the same thing. I could not beleive that I beat him. He was so pissed that when I got to my turn he went flying by me with his hand out the window flipping me off. I thought it was the icing on the cake and proof that I beat his big bad muscle car. I wish I could have told him that I didn't have the Hemi and he just got beat by the 4.7!
yeah no disrespect but i have a 2000 mustang gt and its faster than my hemi. do you know what year it was by chance? the 95-98 gt's were pretty slow only having about 215 to 225 hp. it could have been a v6 with gt badges and dual exhaust also.
I was and have been a die hard GM guy as long as I can remember. I traded in my 2008 GMC regular cab 2 wheel drive with the 5.3L and 3.55 gears in the rear end for my new truck, 2009 Dodge TRX4 5.7L Crew Cab. This new truck would and did stomp a mud hole in the GMC's ***! Yeah Yeah, your going to atribute it to thegear ratio, lets toss in the huge weight difference, The Dodge being WAY heavier, and that pretty much evens out the gear deal. Another example, On my way back home from Montana, I raced my buddies GMC 4X4 with the 6.2L, and spanked him as well! Oh, I forgot to mention, my truck was fully loaded with clothes and fishing gear as well as my 2008 Harley Davidson Ultra in the bed. These trucks are fast! If your is slow, go to the stealer and find out why, there is something wrong!
