It is possible that the pac interface needs to be reset since the tune. I know my old Diablo I had in my GMC truck would reset the remote start security interface, just had to resync to make it work again.

Ok, I had to de tune my truck as i was hit again, the second time in 2 months. Anyway, I was getting 13.6 around town. Same driving and now with the stock tune I'm only getting 12.3 mpg. I can't wait to get my truck fixed, i need my tune back, the truck seems so dfferent without it.

Which tune were you using? That's what I get around town now. 13.6 would be a nice improvement.

finally got mine in the mail. might be able to mess with it tomorrow. so quick question. you have to plug it into the computer first and do an update before you even plug it into the truck? thats the way the instructions read if im getting it right.

That's right. Plug it into your computer and it will run through a series of software installs. Afterwards, you will be prompted to register with and login to the Superchips website to check for the updates for your truck. From there, all that's left is to plug into the truck and select your tune. Start to finish was about 45 mins, but totally worth it. Like everyone else on here, I am very pleased with the improvements to the power and drivability of the truck.

ok, i registered updated the firmware etc. said everything is up to date. it didnt ask me anywhere about my truck model etc. so im assuming when i plug it in to the truck is when i will see if it works or have to email SC my "tune" info like everyone (most) have been doing?

oh, is their supposed to be a notch/hole at the bottom rear of the cortex so you can see the computer chip?

Just plug it into the truck now and follow the prompts. If for some reason your truck isn't included in the updates, it will let you know and you will have to email Superchips. It seems that many trucks are now already in their system. I was expecting to have some issues when I got mine last week, but everything went just as planned. And yes, mine has the hole in it as well.

ok, people are buying these things. i have a really early build 09, and mine worked on the 1st try. didnt need to send my file to SC.

couple questions.

right now i have all of the "tunes" avail. (87, 91,93 etc)
mds disable
revlimit adj.
speedo adj.
wot adj. between 1-2 shift
wot adj between 2-3 shift.
tire size adj.
rear end adj.
4x4 diff. adj

im assuming the later options are only used if you actually change the gears in your rear end or front differential?

quick question. what is "safe" rev limit for our trucks. i want to say it said stock was 5800 and it would adjust up to 6800.

so for now i moved my rev limit to 5900 and set the 1-2 start shift point at 5850, same for 2-3 shift. is that about right?

oh, on the 91 tune. (only because i had to mix with a tank of 89, i will be going to 93 next fill up) you can def. feel the extra hp!!!! next i just need to get that CAI!!!!
