They began calling last week saying that for $280(fees incl) I can have their wonderful service for another 2 yrs. I told her that there was only 5 stations that I use and for that money, I would pass. She said they could take out the sport/talk channels for $9.99 per month, I said right now I don't really know what I'm gonna do. Now since last week, the same 866# has attempted to call me, I look at the caller ID and don't really want talk them yet.My subscription ends June 2nd. I might just pass, if I want 70's and 80's songs, I might just buy some CD's and not be bothered with Serius.

i'm on the fence with renewal myself. to be honest, i didn't listen to it that much with all the other options (ipod, HDD etc) just liked it on road trips. what i can't stand is the glaring subscription numbers on the soft button. is there a way we can un-highlight the SAT button like the CD button (when there is no cd in the player)?

After 1 year I've already got 25,000 miles on the truck due to some road trips that will be repeated annually. I never thought I would care about the satalite, but it's really nice on cross country trips through areas that don't really have much for radio. I only listen to a handfull of stations, but unfortunately some are music and some are news so I couldn't really downgrade to a music only or talk only package.

I just renewed one for 50 bucks for the year since I have 3 accounts I pay 11.99 a month for 6 months for one seasonal, 50 a year for the other and 112 for the other. I am going to negotiate a better price for the seasonal one, They wont give me another deal its that or pay the 169 a year for the main account.

I just renewed mine for the first time, went about a month without it and the total for a year was $87.xx. This was better than any other offer they sent me. I just called and asked for the best that they could do.

Yea, I was kinda thinking the same thing. I've read before how members let their subscription expire then renew later. You as a customer have more bargaining power then, I'll wait until it expires then if they don't call me after a month, I'll call them and mention the $87 a year you paid.

Just signed back up about 3 weeks ago. $29.99 for 6 months. And apparently the boat dealer has been paying for my Sirius on the boat since July of 2008. Can't complain there.

I did let Sirius lapse on the truck for about 2 - 3 months before they offered that deal.

Exact same here, $75 plus tax in CDN funds for 12 months, basically paying for 5 months.
