Sirius Sat price good or not??
I took the 2 year deal. I didn't feel like playing the renewal price game w/ them, but I'm sure I could have saved a few $$ like others did had I chosen to go that route.
MY wife and I had two 09 chargers and the script went out in March. We let it ride without paying and got harrassing phone calls from them. About three weeks later, the lady said that they wanted business so bad they would give us one for 4.99 mo and for combining both they would do 7.99. Just wait it out. Needless to say we didn't get the service at that price because we traded for a 2010 Black Ram Sport CC 4X4, so we ahve another free year, but wait and complain about service and you maybe lucky enough to get that kinda deal.
Don't hold your breath waiting for them to call you with a better offer. I ended up with a better offer, but I had to call them. Now, that I have a new MP3 player I could easily drop Sirius. I would miss Howard Stern. He's the only reason I re-upped.
I let my subscription run out, then came all the calls in the evening and early morning. Then finally they gave me an offer of $20 for 5 months. I told them I'd take it. Well, then they wanted my credit card (so they can renew my subscription at the regular rate without my consent), so I told them just mail me a bill. They came back with that'll be $2.00 more, I told them no. If you can't give me that offer without the $2.00 service charge, forget it. (I know that it's only $2.00, but it was the principle of the matter).
It's funny, I haven't heard from them since.

Yea, they've been calling me once a day for the last 10 days, they even called me at 8am this morning, I notice the 866 area code and don't even want to talk to them right now. Either way, I'm gonna wait until after my subscription expires in less than 2 weeks, and even then, I'm gonna wait until they make me a deal I can't refuse. If they don't, Its not a priority for me right now.
That is what they told me 75 after they first slipped and offered 50 for the year. I guess the 50 applies to something they thought I had but since I have agreed to the 50 they had to give it to me. I am sure they will get their money back next time.

When a company asks for a credit card like that and won't take no for an answer just go to your credit card company's website and generate a one-time-use card number. That way there's no way they can bill you next year for something you don't want. Most CC companies have these. Some are called 'shopsafe', some 'secure online card numbers', etc. I use these for almost all on-line purchases these days.
