Default Chrome ring around shifter

For those who have the floor shifter with the Center Console, I have a question. Have any of you had issues with the sun reflecting of the chrome ring and shining right in there eye? My seems to do it everyday and it is really annoying. I am thinking on having it painted flat black. I asked the dealer if they had anything else and they told me the only part they list is the Chrome one. Just wondering if I am the only one with this issue and if anyone has any ideas to fix it? Thanks

It sucks along with the little chrome rings in the door handle also.

I wish that was my only problem.

Default Yep, blinded by the light...

Noticed how bad the reflections are off the chrome the other day. Wish there was a brushed aluminum finish or something. I had to keep my hand on the shifter to stop the light from blinding me under my sunglasses. If anyone finds a solution that doesn't look awful I'm up for it!

Just take it off and paint it, that is a simple solution. Never seems to bother me.

happens to me also. when i get time i'm going to take it off and hit it with a scotchbrite pad and try and get the brushed aluminum look. saw in a magazine where someone did this to there grill surround and it looked great. if it doesn't work i'll just paint it flat black.

Took mine off yesterday. Lightly sanded it with 150 and painted it flat black with Krylon Fusion plastic paint. $3.77 later....no more glare! And it looks pretty good too!
