YAHOO IT WORKED!!!!!! MY WIFE SAID THERE IS AN OPTION IN THE EVIC TO SHUT IT OFF NOW SO I TALKED TO HER WHILE SHE WAS DRIVING HOME SHE SAID IT COMES ON EVERYTIME YOU ARE COMING TO A STOP THEN GOES OFF WHEN YOU STOP AND THEN COMES ON AND STAYS ON AS LONG AS YOU DRIVE STEADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No graph or anything just a small Fuel Saver light.!!!! So all you skeptics tell your dealer they are full of **** if its not there.

Thanks for your post. Where did you have it done and who was the service advisor? This could help me if my dealer continues to say they don't know. I will follow up with my dealer in a few days. Yesterday, they had not heard of the flash.

Your Ram was an early build (Oct-Dec 2009), correct?

Way to go !!

My '09 was built late enough that this was avail in my EVIC, but it's great to hear such a "core user issue" has FINALLY been addressed.

And your persistence with the dealerships to actually see it to fruition...

Thumbs up

Nice it works.

Correct TBS number is: 08-007-10 and it falls under warranty (POLICY: Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.)

Just flashed my 2009 (build October 2008) and their is a new option in the Evic menu :-)

NUMBER: 08-007-10 This bulletin applies to vehicles built with 5.7 Liter engine sales code EZD
SYMPTOM/CONDITION: The Economy light does not come on when the vehicles engine goes into MDS mode.
DIAGNOSIS: If the vehicle operator describes the above Symptom/Condition, perform the Repair Procedure.

I am in Canada so maybe we have different numbers for these all I know is that it works and I have an option in the EVIC to turn it on or off. For all it's worth I got it done at Windsor Chrysler, Windsor, On Canada. I got that TSB from one of those emails someone posted a while back. I emailed and asked about the light and the trailer brake hook up. He emailed me back the TSB I posted maybe Ihave a different engine...its a HEMI.

Called my dealer and asked about TSB 08-007-10. Was told that it does apply to my truck and is for the ECO light. I have an appointment for tomorrow.

Thanks 72combo

IMHO, truck shifts/performs better with MDS disabled.
