Lockpick V 3
72combo,
DO NOT buy a lockpick. I pulled my hair out for almost a year having various problems with my truck with audio cutting out and i took my truck in multiple times and had 3 radios replaced to try and get this issue fixed. After combing through the threads here and talking to "Secret Agent Man" I discovered that it was the lockpick that was causing all my problems. I went with the NAV-TV ALLGIG-USB-HS like he recommended and all my issues were fixed and it even comes with a usb cable for future updates which the lockpick does not offer(which i ran into my glove box). Lockpick people are super nice if they think that they are going to get a sale out of you, after sale support - forget about it! I bought my lockpick on ebay and i sold it on ebay for a small loss. I would do the same if I were you.

So what is the general consensus on the V3's? I have read horrible things about the lockpick on at least 3 other forums. Threads that go on and on about ****ty customer service and a product that doesnt work correctly. I would be willing to give it a shot if the new version has improved. I have been seriously consdering the allgig but cant find a whole lot of feedback on it...
Well I am gonna start to install mine today. Not sure who is gonna be around to give me a hand. I bought some cheapo cameras that came with inferior wiring to run under a truck even in wire loom. Get what you pay for. I wish they would have marked the camera so I know top and bottom. it will be a pain to get it straight.

I have the lockpick V2 installed on my truck. When I first installed it I got the same audio dropouts that others have reported. It was really random, sometimes left speaker would go out, sometimes right, sometimes rear, sometimes in front. After tinkering around for a little bit I noticed the main plug that plugs the lockpick into the mygig wasn't getting seated right. Theirs no snaps that lock it into place so during drive vibrations caused it to shake and become unseated. What I did was take 2 zipties and tighten them on either side of the plug to really get a solid connection.
Haven't had a problem since, that seems to have solved the issue for me. If others are having similar audio issues I recommend giving it a try, hope this helps.
Maybe the V3 has solved this issue, if not give the zipties a try, they work wonders!

I had the audio drop outs and it was always all the speakers, never just one. The connector is the first thing I tried. I even used contact cleaner to ensure all of the pins were good. The Allgig tech's were actually the ones who discovered the CAN/BUS communication problem that the new Rams were having with these units, as the Allgig originally had the same problem. They came out with a new software flash that addressed the communication problem and it was fixed. Those with non-flashable Lockpick V2's were left standing in the rain with no way to update their units. A year later and the Lockpick folks finally come out with a flashable unit like Allgig. Hmm... Based on my firsthand witnessing of the incompetence of their tech's, I wouldn't be surprised if they had to reverse engineer the fix Allgig came out with a year earlier because they were too inept to figure it out for themselves.
Yep, I've had it in the truck for almost a year now with zero issues.
Hi, i know its not been long, but had this thing inside my truck for about 2 months now and still no issues, 72combo, i do not have any pics since i did it really fast and never tought of doing a post about my install, the hardest part was getting the crome ring off the center console, everything else was really easy, its literally a plug and play unit, just set the dip switches on the lockpick to your situation, and follow instructions, i have not done any updates since the unit is working properly, i did take advantage of the 12 acc for the backup camera, i am sure if you take your time and read the instructions you will be fine, good luck
