Not being cynical! For whatever reason you keep defending them to me! I thought we covered this already. Go on about your business and quit trying to convince me how great they are! The facts are the facts. They FAILED me and many, many others.

The fact that you come here for technical questions about their product rather than their techs tells another story. Not to mention it has been how many weeks that you have had their product and its not installed in your truck yet. But hey, they are impressing you. Great for you! I can tell you one thing though, I had my AllGig installed, up and running in an afternoon. I even had a question and dealt with their techs to get it answered, right then, right there. I installed it and was done.

Okay the firsts reason its not installed is I am paraplegic and well will require to set up a time and I am doing what I can like the tailgate cam is now installed in the right place(private joke) The wiring is ready all soldered and covered ready to go into the loom.
The second reason was I bought Jap scrap cameras to save myself so cash and the idiots sent them to the wrong place..Florida is a few miles away from Canada. So that took a month.
I have been asking questions out of curiosity in comparison to answers I am getting from techs. So far all is well, I have the time so I might as well do it right would you not say.
Third thing is really I have the right to defend something I hope will be good. I was promised if all did not go well since there was a sort of contradiction in the instructions about uconnect that I have a full one year warranty. I didn't even buy it from them. Now I would have to return it to the ebay seller I used.

So when I can organize a couple people that arent working when I am feeling like getting on the ground I will have my ducks in a row and all i will have to do is plug it all in.

I am glad you can do all that in a day, 10 years ago I would have done all that, plus washed and waxed it, had sex with my wife and the neighbours on both sides before breakfast, ya I remember what it was like but I do what I can. By the way I have to thank a couple members Mr. Norris and Mr.Anderson for the rear handles. I had a strange feeling when I was thinking about putting the cameras in so I figured I would get a spare so Mr. Norris was kind enough then well I was right I goofed and drilled the wrong side because I have the pace edwards lock and the camera doesnt fit behind eventually the wire would fail. So I thought great I have another handle and well I thought the hole came out smoother from the side I drilled so I flipped this over and drilled the same side so Mr. Anderson came to my rescue. So now I have a handle on my truck in Windsor the was born in Goderich...almost was a dual citizen for a while there. Measure twice cut once doesn't work when you start flipping stuff over.

This is the problem I have. People come to these forums to gather information so they can make informed decisions on their purchases and find solutions to their problems. Your certainly have the right to post what you want within the confines of the rules of the forum, but you specifically say you have the 'right to defend something you hope will be good?' What kind of valuable information is this providing someone who is potentially in the market for a Lockpick or AllGig? I'd argue that it confuses them rather than helps them. Its misinformation and false advertising. You could have a junk unit as useless as a petrified turd and you're on the forum talking about how great it is. That's not what this forum was intended for.

And you're touting CoastalTec's greatness because they promised you a full one year warranty when they don't have to deal with you if your unit is junk? Sorry to tell you but promises are as worthless as the LockPick unit I had. Obama promised he'd fix the economy and look at how that worked out for us. The used car salesman I bought my last Grand Cherokee from promised me that the Jeep had new brakes on it and they were damn near shot. Lets see how that promise works out for you if you ever need to deal with that eBay seller for a return.

I honestly don't care why your LockPick isn't installed yet. My whole point is that it is NOT installed and you continue to defend a shoddy company to me, when my first hand personal experience was not pleasant at all. Even if you get your unit installed and it works perfectly, my point today remains. You touted something as being good when you had no idea if it was or not. You touted customer service as being good when you have not had to work with them on a genuine technical problem with their unit. Please stop defending them to me. Just because you 'hope' yours will be good does not give you the right to mislead other forumers.

Secret Agent Man is pissed cuz he rushed out and bought the new toy without waiting till it was in field tested and improvements could be made. I am only going by what others are saying and defending their tech support...they return emails even called me and I did not buy it there. So you see the irony. Like I said I am getting it installed at the pace I can work. I am very happy all your body parts work for you but from my t ts down nothing work, no balance yet I get stuff done, my son helps but he is tired of helping and I don't blame him so I have to do things around other peoples schedules. So far rear cam is now in the proper place thanks to a few good members who had spare handles without locks or cams, so I could make mistakes on a couple. I also have all the wiring ready to go just need to put it in the loom and see which size will fit all the wires including the tailgate lock wires. I figure a half or 3/4 will do the job...3/4 will have room to add if need be later. Was hoping to put front camera in today but sons schedule got changes and my daughter can't work with me.
Now I have lost any respect for SecretAgentman now...bringing up your president's mistakes and the fact that so many people down there have their hands out, for everything. Isn't anyone responsible or accountable for their own lives down there?
Lets just agree to disagree and when I install mine to be fair I won't have an opinion about anything to do with LockPick that is non factual. Any info or instructions I have given are from a Coastal tech specializing in the Chrysler version, just passing it on. But I guess negativity about a product because it flopped in the beginning is ok. I really pity your Service Rep at whatever dealer ship you use.

I debated even responding because it almost seems pointless. You are either mentally deficient in understanding the points I am trying to make or you are just plain defiant. The MyGig radio launched in 2007 (summer 2006) with the new Jeep Wrangler and the LockPick was available no more than a few months later. I bought my truck in December of 2008 and the LockPick V2 had been out for quite some time already. It was far from a 'new' product and had plenty of field testing. My issue with CoastalTec was not that I had a problem, its that they were inept at FIXING the problem. When their tech's continually gave me the run around on the phone and gave me the impression that they knew less about electrical components than your average chimpanzee, I politely asked for my money back.

I was patient with them as I put up with the audio cut outs for 6+ months while occasionally checking back with them. When I finally got tired of zero progress and their continued assurance that they were working on it I told them I wanted to return it. They proceeded to tell me they needed a manager's approval for a return and at which point they ceased returning e-mails and phone calls. When I did reach their office, I was always told that the managers were in a meeting and that they would call me back. I had to continually call every few days for MONTHS until I actually caught a manager who answered the phone and had no choice but to OK my return. You for some reason cannot get it through your head that this is the problem I had with them. I am a polite and calm individual who was raised with manners. My tolerance for incompotence is usually pretty high, but when I do reach it, I react accordingly. That tolerance limit is being reached here with you because you repeatedly seem to be missing what I am saying. Your rambling incoherent responses that tangent off into your sexual exploits with your wife and your neighbors wives add no value to this forum.

Listen you obvious are missing my point too, we have heard your psychbable and whining about how you got screwed around by a company that seems to be very responsive and interested in my situation and how there is a part in the instructions that can be misconstrued. Anyway I don't have to explain to you. I am sorry you had issues with them and well so far they I am being proactive and making sure it gets hooked up right the first time since I had the time to do some investigating while I waited for my cameras to get here. Funny maybe I should rant and rave and tell you the name of the place I got the cameras and tell you how terrible they were at customer service but it doesn't matter to you or anyone else. Funny there are people who have not had an issue at all with Lock Pick or Allgig then there are people complaining about both or just one or the other.
There are people who bought a new Ram and swear they will never buy another because they have a ton of issues. All I get from all of this BS is that not everyone can be happy all the time and because you had a problem does not mean that everyone will or maybe they will. Rambling again right? I don't care, you are jealous you got screwed over and well you will never know whether I have problems with my Lock Pick or not. Good time to end a useless thread we don't seem to be getting anywhere I will admit it.

Installed my lockpick v3 about 3 weeks ago in my 09 Ram TRX4 and love it. Can watch dvds while moving now (for passengers). Also got the license plate mount backup camera so i can get within inches while backing up now. Totally worth it and a rather easy install. I plan to mount a camera on the front also at some point.
