I am New to this fourm and would like ti say Hi to everyone. Last week i got a used 2010 - 1500 - 4.7 - 4x4 with 29300 Miles from a dealer. Not sure how much i trust if they changed the Oil i want to change it at the 30,000 mi, mark. Just wandering what you are using in yours. I am thanking about gowing Senthetc, 5 w 20 Thanks.

 

Well good timing. I was going to start another thread bout this today as well.
I just changed mine at 31000 to Mobile1 5/20w. I then took a ride to Maine on back roads I started to get over 20MPG. I usually only got around 16 on back roads, which I thought was great. But holy cow I actually saw some 22mpgs on the EVIC. (89 octane) That was not even on the highway. Next day it snowed so I was in 4x4 auto and was getting 16mpg. Normally I got around 14 with it in AUTO LOCK. I hope it keeps up with the gas prices going up......That Mileage is just a shade under what I get in my V6 Rav 4. Not too shabby eh?

 

I use Castrol Edge 5w20

 

Just changed mine today. Used Mobil 5w30 and K&N filter.

 

AMS oil 100% synthetic 0w 20. I don't let it go 25,000 miles before changing like ams says you can. I go about 6 months or 12,000 km's.

Next oil change I'll be looking for a new air filter or cold air intake!

Whatever 5w20 the dealer puts in. Around 20 minutes and $23 every 4-5K miles.

 

5w20 Mobil 1 and a Mopar filter purchased at the local walmart then give them the used oil back.

 

Royal Purple 5w20, w/ Mobil One Extended life filter (change every 8k - 10k miles). I currently have all my fluids changed to Royal Purple; oil, transmission, front & rear end, & transfer case. I have always used it in all my vehicles, and it definitely adds life to them.
