** Update Jan 21 **

Chrysler Canada has decided to put in a new short block. Dealership has it on order now.

I think this is the right step, and am glad to see Chrysler Canada trying to make it right.

So just a new block or entire new engine?

I'd insist on an entire new crate engine.

At this point I'm happy with the decision.

As long as there is no knocking. What did you have to do to get them to agree to do it after they said "it's normal?"

Good to hear, should of considered this route the first time around and not wasted everyones time with half ---ing the appropriate solution.

They should also deduct a months payment (or two) for your troubles with your vehicle being out of service so many times, and having to haggle them with arbitrary assistants to achieve a proper correction.

Good luck with the road ahead!

I listened to your
My truck sounded like that at just 400miles. At about 3kmi it got pretty loud. I'm at 12kmi and it's the same as it was when I was at 3kmi.
If I give it gas and bring the rpms up to about 900-1k the sound is gone completely.
My knocking sound is so loud I can hear it from 50ft away.
Once the oil presssure descends back down to the pathetic 4-6psi at idle the knock returns so I always associated my knock with Hemi tick because of lack of oil pressure but after hearing your video, my sound is just like yours but much much louder.
I dont think I'll ever have the shop touch my truck, tear it apart to fix it. I have the Lifetime Powertrain Warranty so I'm in no rush either.
If you raise the rpms up to 1k does the sound go away?

Yup! Exactly. Raise the gas to 1k, and noise is gone.
