Default Uconnect Question

Hey guys,

Just bought a 2011 1500 big horn and tried using the phone/blue tooth today and received a message that its not installed. What do I need to get this working? The radio I think I have is a RES if that helps. If you know the part numbers that would be great.

On a side note, love the truck!!!!

Thanks in advance!

The best advice I can give you, is to follow the instructions in the manual. That's what I did to make mine work.....

The issue is it seems Ike it's not installed. I've heard I may need a module to make it work.

Anyone know? As I've said I think my radio is the res model. It has the blue tooth phone buttons but they don't work.

Are you sure your phone is bluetooth ???
The owners manual is pretty much straight forward, i had no trouble with mine.

Go back to the dealer and complain that it is not working, they might have to reflash your truck to make it work.
Dont let the salesman push you out the door either, the button is there, it has to work.
Last resort if you dont get anywhere with the dealer, call chrysler and complain.

I guess the only question i have would be is there anything else I need to make it work? Like, the deck model is RES, should that have it working?

I ask because Ive known other cars to use the same deck where some features work in one car and not in another.

When I click on the the two phone buttons I get this message "not equipped with u-connect phone"

To me that means the truck doesnt have blue tooth/u-connect. Am I missing something? Where else do I pair the phone?

After doing more and more research I think I need this module for it to work.
