I went to my dealer yesterday, they said, and i quote.... "Yeah sooo, Get in line"
I never said a word to the service manager either, i just held up the recall notice... then he turned snotty, instantly.

Nice way to treat your customers chrysler...!!!!
I`ll think about how i`ve been treated at ALL your dealerships before i buy another vehicle again.

Sounds like they don't want your business... Take it elsewhere.

Why would you go to the dealer when you know the parts aren't even available yet? What did you expect to accomplish?

I'm afraid the only repair that they know will be consistent and not have to be done over again is to replace the assemblies. They would probably only do it on ones that showed signs of looseness or had previous repairs. The ones that inspected OK would likely just get a retainer and leave the nut alone.

I also stopped by one of the dealers I go to and asked for an update. What did I expect to accomplish? To see if they had any new info they may have recieved. IMO, the dealer serviced depts will have info before the consumer gets anything in the mail.

While I am not really concerned, it is crazy how long this is dragging out for something that may be a simple fix.

They may be developing a procedure and/or special tool to prevent the entire teardown and setup of the differential. I've seen a few recalls in the past where they've done that.

I can tell you`re a dodge tech just by the way you commented. If i had NOT gone into the dealership and had asked, how would i have even known what was going on with the recall. Thats like putting the carriage BEFORE the horse... which is what has always been chryslers problem. I worked for chrysler dealers years ago, their lack of ethic`s and training is why i quit working for them years ago as a tech.

Imagine that... ther`s that carriage before the horse case scenario again.
Had they done the job right the first time (instead of cheaping out and having ZF build these junk rearend`s), ther wouldnt even be a recall to start with.

Isn't ZF building the new 8spd transmission?

You have no idea what you're talking about and you have NO inside information about anything you claim to. My responses were all aimed at YOU. I absolutely doubt you even made a trip to the dealership to ask anyone anything. It's no secret (at least to the moderators) that you make posts just to get attention and get people riled up to jump on your fantasy bandwagon. People are looking for valid answers, not some disgruntled guy who has an axe to grind with Chrysler.

If you were ever being intellectually honest in your rantings, that would be one thing...but you're not. You never have any facts to back up anything and the facts that someone could find will always contradict you. I will continue to challenge you and your posts until you display that you CAN be intellectually honest. The rest of the members here deserve that.
