If you go back to the people who manufacture the radio for Chrysler you can see on there site. I will get the info for you guys. Noone at dodge knows bc the people sitting at the service desk learn about the truck from everyone coming in bitching and never touch a tool and think they are know it alls, and the guys fixing them never learn about it until a rep has to come in and teach them how to do it. About now the Rep doesnt know how to fix it bc there is no solution, except to buy a analog radio like the lesser privalaged people get!

Pretty comon My mother just got a brand new 14 limited and it does the same thing. All of us are ginny pigs with any vechicle u buy brand new! They cant fix the problem until half of america with the same vechicle has the same problem so they can figure out what it is.

Just want wether u drive a laramine or a kingranch, U wont find an resolution to your answer until you have the truck for awhile.
People on the dealership end are not privy to software coding. Now, if you would like all the dealer personel to go enroll in an electrical engineering degree program, that will cost you extra.

When there is a widespread issue with software, there isn't an engineer army poised at the ready to come out an address every instance. They have to have some time to gather as much info as they can THEN form a strategy to blanket the majority, if not all, of the incidents. Let's get real here

IMO though, automakers should get out of the business of audio/video. They can't do it as well as the aftermarket sector can.

Default Update.............

So my truck once again came back from the garage with the radio issue and as previously stated they have no fix at the moment but are aware of the issues and working on it.

With that being said the one fix they did give me was, rather than pulling the fuse for the radio or disconnecting the battery to reset it. You can press and hold the volume and tune button for a few seconds and this will "re-boot" the radio.

Anyways if I hear of any more info will pass it along

Even after resetting, it still continues. Cant seem to figure out a workaround until they find a fix for this.

I had something similar with my 2014 1500 Laramie Longhorn. I tried to use the media hub, and the entire UConnect system froze up and certain parts crashed. It dumped the entire XM package - all apps were no longer loaded. Essentially anything connected to the UConnect system stopped functioning properly. However, everything sorted itself out once we powered down the vehicle and restarted it. This is a software issue.

I'm sorry to hear you're having these issues with your 8.3" Fancy Radio. Thats part of the reason I got the base system in mine.

Default 2014 Radio issue

There were two factory program updates that were performed. Since the updates were installed for the radio, the issue has not happened.

Do you have any idea when these updates came out or the update version number?

I am having the same problems with my 2014 sport !!! I just had a software update done at the dealership jan 14 and it didn't fix anything! Yes warranty is nice but making over $600 / month payments and dealing with this is frustrating!!! Maybe some discounts on accessories would be nice , i guess shopping around next time would be a good option. this is my third brand new dodge

Default Radio Aux Port

Bought 2014 Ram Laramie Limited. Drove off lot, had the same issues. Went to have reflashed. Did not fix. Was told it could be 4 to 6 months for a fix. Pretty sorry that we have to live with this issue without any compensation! When you bring it to their attention, they look at you with a "I don't really care" and "there is nothing we can do" attitude. FRUSTRATING! A $54000.00 dollar vehicle with these issues are UNEXCEPTABLE!
