I don't get it. Did you buy the truck new? And why did you wait to have a recall done for that long. That recall came out years ago. I'd have,(and was) been in there right off to get it done.
Finding out a recall on an '09 in 2018 seems a bit odd.

there are vehicles that are orphaned...fca doesn't know who owns them so can't send them notice. old recalls coming in are common. Regardless...the work should be performed the same whenever it arrives.

Ramulak
I bought the truck last summer...read somewhere that you could log on to mopars site and check IF you had any recalls?
There were four on my truck 2 had been Done already, 2 where waiting...

Mailed some info Mail on dodge site and they Said that I should contact the dealer for a free inspection/repair?
turns out I had to pay 1300 usd for that free repair. Dodge europe doesn’t pay for the costs of a blow diff.here due to the cause of a lose pinion nut. neither do the pay that 100usd giftcard as it says in the recall notice.

so yes I’m very disapointed. IF I had know this I would have gone to scrap yard and picked one out. And changed the complete rearaxle myself. Wich I would have solved that in 1-2days....

Instead I usel the free recall and the dealership had my truck for 6,5week

Regards Michael

I would still contact a lawyer. I can't see the laws being that different from the US to Europe when it comes to safety issues of this nature. The rear diff failed BECAUSE of the recall. Therefore, Dodge should do what they said they would, and fix it. For Free.

Couldn’t agree more...

I gonna do that after the weekends.... got one part back before I paid him. Asked for a document from them that this is not covered by the recall. And fca won’t cover their costs. I also told him that I want all of the parts that they changed back.

He Said I would get it after the holidays.....so I guess I’m going to pay the a visit again..... next week....and see how that goes?

Just another question....

have anyone tried to write fca reimbursment?
How did they handle your reimbursment?

Wonder IF I my case will qualify for reimbursment?

just thougt I’ll ask before start with them...

It's worth a shot. Think I would try and get them on the phone though. Document who you speak with, and what they have to say. (record the conversation if you can, but, let the person you are talking to know you are recording...... legal issues, and all that.) Worst they can do is say "no". Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
