Alright.... I bought the two cables you recommended habeba86. I also got this Kicker wiring kit. Is there any thing else that I will need before I have the system installed?

Thanks,
Shane

I use 10 gauge power and ground wire for my speakers its probably overkill but it cant hurt! Also the Kicker kit comes with a fuse block. It has a 300 amp blade fuse in it which is massive but you can change sizes. I bought a 150 amp fuse for mine. They say that fuse is rated for the wire not the amps but still if you can get away with a smaller fuse I feel your better off verses a 300 amp wire melting jolt to my amps!

So you're saying I should put a smaller fuse in the fuse block?

What do I do, just go to a hardware store and pick one up?

Thanks,
Shane

I doubt a hardware store carries anl fuses. Any local audio shop will have one. 12 gauge speaker wire is what I would tell you to use.

Alright. So you agree that I should put a smaller fuse in, habeba86?

12 gauge speaker wire is what it will be then!

Thanks,
Shane

What was said above is true, you fuse so the wire doesnt melt. But as dj also said, if your probably never going to pull more than 150 amps, why have a 300 in it.....it would take longer to pop if there was a problem. So ya, I would switch it out also.

Is this the fuse that I would need?

Thanks,
