Those of you who have in-dash dvd/cd players (flip out) what are the pros and cons of these? Would you buy one again or do you regret it? How often do you use the dvd player? Is it better to go with a high end stereo HU?

Also if you have the DD nav/dvd etc what are pros..any cons? They are just a little more expensive so just trying to get an idea which one is overall better or worse..thanks

 

Im ditching my flipout this summer. Ugly when folded in and I never use it. Gonna get something thats better looking and has more cool stuff.

 

Do you have a system set up? What kind of stuff are you looking for it to have? I dont have any kind of sound system set up and dont plan too so im looking for something a little better than just a regular ol cd payer

 

I have a cheap jensen and i would much rather have a double. Although the jensen has worked very well for being so cheap.

 

Im getting tired of it but I have no complaints. Oh dont watch movies at night while on the highway, the police dont like it.

 

Running a small 10" kicker and some new boston accoustic speakers that are powered off the deck. I just want something with iPod capability, bluetooth for my phone, more audio adjustability and a big volum **** or switch

I've got a JVC dvd. Not a flipout. the screen is too small for videos anyways. I only use it when I'm waiting for someone in a parking lot.

The best part of it is the built in bluetooth, ipod control, dvd mp3...

 

yea if i get one I want it to have bluetooth, ipod, dvd capabilities etc...if the flip outs are not worth it then i'll go with the nav ones and haave WEED build me a custom bezel!

 

If I were you I would just go that route. Most of us with flip outs seem to be wanting to go that way eventually.
