I'm alleviating the quick-drying resin problem by only mixing 16 ounces at a time at most. figured why not, the hardener has lines for how much to use for every 16 ounces.

I'll be gettin another gallon and HOPEFULLY thats all I need. I'm tired of paying so much for resin lol

Yea i spent $250 just for resin, never doing that again. It's cool because you know how to fiberglass, you can do so much more like making new interior panels etc.

thats exactly the reason i did this. For the same price, why didnt i take the easy route and get a pre-fab one? Because 1) i wouldnt learn anything, and 2) now i can say "i made it" and its most likely better quality than the pre-fab stuff.

Just got onto this thread...... I have learned SO much already! Ive always been into stereos/bass, but not this in-depth as far as quality/clarity when it came to the builds. Actually, there were no builds, I just bought expensive, high quality subs/amps and threw them in there.... Those JLw618's in my little hatchback mustang were LOUD as hell, but and that was cool and all back in hs, but a build like this is definatley respected by me. Kudos to you brother(s) for having the *****/patience/time/monies to do this kind of build. I'll get to building my own fiberglass box one day, as Im sure these Alpines aren't talking to me as they should be, and this thread and kx250's advice gives me the confidence to tackle it!!! Thanks fellas, and good luck to ya AF, looking awesome!

yall should summarize what to do and what not to do into a thread once finished....all this back and forth stuff is kinda jumpy but if we had that, maybe one of us could try it later

fiber glass isn't rocket science. It just takes patience and concentration.
