is there an advantage to having more then one sub, even if they are both equal subs. remember the application is a big *** 2002 dodge intrepid

Ithink it all depends on what yu want. I have 1 10" sub. it is perfect for me, because I wasn't looking for hella loud bass. I just wanted bass for an al around good sound. But when I play someone like the beastie boys, it thumps pretty good.

I'd say either 2 12's or 1 15. Ive always liked the sound of 12's though. You should check these out Type R's.

first off i want to welcome you to the site. second of all i was leaning towards 2 12"s, but i just want to make the right choice. those speakers you linked me too are very nice, but I'm looking at about 100 a sub instead of 120. what i actually have in mind right now, unless someone can give me a reason otherwise, is to have 2 Infinity Kappa 120.3dvc 12" subs in a ported box with an Infinity Reference 610a Amplifier wired in parallel.

Pat we should set something up in July or later. what gratiot trash? i would rather drive an extra 20 miles along the perimeter of the city, instead of driving through Detroit.

Yes, from what I hear those infinities are nice deep subs. I would look to tuning your box around 30-33 hz.

oops i mean the Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1d. damn those are 120 each too. the 12.1d in the box i picked would be tuned to 32hz. same amp though. I'm so confused because i cant choose between them
Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1d 120
Infinity Kappa 120.3DVC 100
Infinity Reference 1232w 70

i choose infinity, not for your job security, but instead because they are the best in my opinion, not to say there aren't other exceptional companies out there.
