here it is
says it could happen in a matter of weeks. I'm having a very hard time deciding if this is a good thing or a bad thing. of course chrysler won't be chrysler anymore, but other than their lineup, they really don't have much going for them anymore. and gm sure could use some vehicles with a little more character

i dout that if they merge that they would abandon the ram... or Dakota... it would be like any other branch of Gm it would just have its own section... i like GM they are pretty good vehicles and i dont see a problem as long as they dont change chysler i would be pretty happen with that.......

I think it will happen if GM see no other choice for their survival. The execs at GM will not let their company go bankrupt. And i think they would make Dodge and Chrysler another arm of the GM product. And on the our vehicles would then become more fuel efficient. Like it or not, GM is leading the pack on green/energy efficient vehicles.

It would be the end of Chrysler. GM will be the one that comes out on top. I can't see them continuing to build the ram or challenger. GM would be competing aginst itself. I think the only brand that will do okay is JEEP.
With that said, I would rather see Chrysler go to an American company instead of going overseas again.
GM does take care of it's classic car owners. It might make it easier to get repo parts for our older mopars.
