I can say another waste of time is what the Firepower will be....

Honestly, do they need anything to compete with the Viper's sales? NO...and thats exactly what this car will do....

It's a cheesy lookin car IMO....too much of a viper knockoff for my tastes..

 

I find that kind of hard to belive, especialy sinceas Dartman69 said they just released the coupe, no way they would have spent all the money developing the coupe just to can the car a year later.

 

That's what I was getting at is that the Viper just needs more Hp, less weight and better aerodynamics.

Considering that the Viper may not always meet people's wants, then there's the Firepower. Just like the Caravan and T&C thing going on..

It is much easier to re-engineer a car as coupe from convertable then vice-versa. I'm sure it was already on the books and planned when the SRT-10 came out.

 

Yeah, not everyone would actualy want a Viper, I love how it looks, but even if I could afford one I wouldn't buy it, the Firepower on the other hand I would, it's a more luxury comfortable type sports car, I really like how it looks, and the big thing for me is it's an automatic, anything manual only is off my list for a vehicle I would consider buying.

Here's my issue with the Firepower....for one...it's a complete Viper ripoff as far as design....not to mention they took and slapped that crappy Crossfire styling and threw it on the car as well.....

but the biggest issue is WHY IS CHRYSLER GETTING A RWD V8 ENGINE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's Dodge's at?

I've said this now for like 2 months.....Chrysler is effectively eliminating every damn good car Dodge has and is taking a clone/complete ripoff of the car and renaming it to something for them to use....it's pissing me off!!!!!!

Why does Chrysler need a RWD V8 car? It doesnt, and why you would give it to Chrysler BEFORE Dodge just insults the loyal MOPAR people out there....

This also argues my point about people wanting a V8 RWD coupe.......so now you can't say no one wants one.....

but what is the firepower going to cost? its not like its going to be in a class with the mustang, is it?
