water leak
Had the same problem with my '07 caravan. Seemed to be getting in through the heater box as you could hear the squirrel cage slosh the water around when you ran the blower motor. Ruined one blower motor that way because dealership couldn't find it, the second time they blew out the condensate drain and never had a problem with it again until I traded it in '09 on a minivan.
p.s. I think I forgot to ever mention that my 2010 Caliber did not have a sunroof and I live where there are absolutely no leaves or debris getting in or around the car. Anyway, first good news was that my insurance company Allstate agreed to repair the car and replace the carpet and pad. Well, 2 visits to a body shop later (the leaks were determined to be coming through the body seams) and new leaks continuing to re-appear weekly (when I actually had the car as I have only been able to actually have the car 3 weeks out of 2 months of ownership as it has been in the shop the rest of the time) it was finally determined that the way Dodge welded the body seams they continually pop new leaks randomly simply from the flexing of driving down the road (nice huh?!)
so yesterday after finding yet another leak and knowing there would be no permanent fix (like I said it will continue to happen at random from driving flex at various random points in the seams and no way to predict or permanently fix) I went back to the Nissan dealer and I must proclaim that I will buy any new car I ever get from them again!! They are awesome!! They were already aware of the problem from trying to fix it for me themselves 2 times so they simply gave me back each and every penny spent on the car (including the extended warranty and gap protection I had bought) and traded it in for the exact same dollar amount I originally paid (no depreciation at all and retail 4k over normal trade-in value) and sent me home with a brand new 2010 Hyundai Tucson with 12 miles on it and an extended full bumper to bumper zero deductible 10yr 120,000 mile warranty!! I love you Chico Nissan Hyundai!

Hello im new to this forum i can tell you i have a 2011 and it puddles water in the pass rear floor board as well and it does not have a sunroof,,I took it to dealership who said they never heard of this yea right got it back they put sealant under the door sill.. That didnt fix it plus i think they put plastic between carpet and the pad to trap it from coming through,,,,how stupid idea didnt work the mat with its spikes i think poked through there plastic and here it came lots of water not a waterbed anymore so i will be calling this week and they will be changeing the carpet especially for trying the plastic thing,,
oops I meant to say I got a brand new 2012 Hyundai Tucson (not 2010, that was the year of my Caliber).
and in reply to the 2011 Caliber owner.. go back to the dealer and after you smack the sh@!t out of the person that told you that they didn't know about the issue and point out to them that there is a Dodge wide bulletin out on it!
I can't remember exactly what it is called, I think a TPB or something, "technical point bulletin" or something like that.. as found out by my Nissan dealer when they attempted to contact Dodge about the problem.
So it is definitely a "known" issue and Dodge is lying straight to your face! It sucks and I feel for you! It is production like this and customer service like that why they went belly up in the first place and did not deserve to be bailed out!

We bought our 09 in the fall of 08 and it has never leaked a drop. I can't imagine what they changed in the build process since the car is basically unchanged since it was first made.
But if there is a TSB on it, then something must have changed somewhere.

Yes thanks for that info i will be calling them today and telling them ,,basd enough theres no customer service everytime i have been there has been horrible and i also bought a 2011 bighorn at same time so i prob have double trouble,,had prob with them looseing the key for locks on truck wheels, spilling oil all over my truck engine for its first oil change now the leak problem rediculous
I am lucky that I have a dealer that bends over backwards to keep me happy. I have never had a problem getting anything fixed if needed. Some dealers have very poor customer service and it gives the brand a bad name. Hopefully there is another dealer close enough that you can try out. I have one about 4 miles away, but drive across town to my dealer because they are so much better.
you know, that is very true! I drive my Harley over 20 miles (twice the distance of the nearest dealer/mechanic) to get it serviced because of the level of customer service I receive between the two places. And I can easily see where Harley as a whole could receive a bad name just by going to the closer dealer if a person didn't know better.
