When I turn my van on the a/c turns on full blast. I have tried this several times making sure the a/c is off when I turn the van off but sometimes it will still turn on when the van turns on without starting & starting. I dont know what to do. I know my compressor has a leak we put a dye in it found only leaks from there. When the pressure gauge was put to it it would go to 500-600 psi & my mechanic said that is way too high suppose to be around the 300 psi area.. what could be making the air turn on though? thanks for any help.. I have 3.3 also

Thank you while my mechanic is changing the a/c compressor I will mention for him to check that.. right now I am having the tranny rebuilt.. 149000 miles with the original one I think is pretty good.
I'm confused as to the original problem. Compressors are on or off. There is no medium speed. What does "turn on full blast" mean? Manual or auto temp system?
I thought they meant the blower stays on , even the key is turn off. I could be wrong.
It does turn on when the ignition is on acc or if the engine is started. M system is manual. The compressor doesnt kick on for the reason of the psi being so high. Turns on full blast because i leave the a/c on high so it turns on high. Not sure what ou are talking about 'medium speed'?
When i turn the the ignition on the van on whether its to power the radio or start the engine the air turns on. Thanks for the responses.
damm you so confusing but i thinking you talking high side pressure? headpressure? cause suction at 300 or 600psi is extreme high. normally you should get suction no more prob 60psi(it cycle but not to fast from that to a lower value) and head pressure 250-300max.

not that i'm trying to be confusing but i dont the tech words or anyof that. He air turns on the the car starts. Main problem. Its only confusing why it does that.
