I have an ongoing problem with my '97 GC Sport 3.3l 2wd. When cold starting, cranks fine, wants to catch, but chugs a few times and stops. Try again and starts, but barely until I gas it for a few seconds. The whole time the battery light and the CEL is on. After driving for a few minutes, the motor will just quit without warning. I can start it right back up. Testing for codes sometimes shows p1493 and p0117, sometimes nothing. Coolant temp gauge stays at min. Replaced ECT sensor, still get codes. Trying to use this forum for help because I've been out of work for 10 mo., any help appreciated!

I had very good luck with this vendor that I found on eBay. You could contact them to see if they have one for your year and engine.

Actually, I gave them the VIN and mileage of the van and they took care of the flashing. The unit I received was good to go right out of the box. It was only $150 which I figured was a pretty good deal.

It turns out that my luck hasn't been so great with these people. The first one they sent me set some bogus code. They took it back with no problems but now the replacement is setting P601. They now won't do an exchange without sending the defective unit back first which obviously puts the van out of service.

I am having the same problem in my '96 dodge avenger. Could you send me the PDF files too?
