Default 05 caravan no start

A friend of mine has a 2005 caravan with the 2.4L that wont start. Just replaces the fuel pump coil and crankshaft positon sensor. When u open the drivers door the Odometer comes on is that normal. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Remove the cam sensor and have someone crank the engine over and watch the camshaft. Does the camshaft rotate with the engine cranking over. If it doesn't, then the timing belt is broken.

Now why didn't I think of that! Hey thanks MT. I've often wondered how you check for a busted TB on a distributorless ignition other than to just listen to the engine turn over.

Do you have a pressure gauge? And if you do, what is your pressure reading. Or you can disconnect the line and use a jar or large coke bottle. Just turn the key on and don't try to start. Do you have a good flow? Also remove the spark plugs and see if they are fouled with fuel. Also i don't think you said if you have spark at the plugs.

Have you checked the fuse for the ASD relay? Because that will control your fuel and ignition coil. Also does the engine crank over? If it does, i would also check the compression.
