20 Amp Fuse, Ignition <-> Batt
2003 Dodge Caravan SE, 3.3
Was Checking the fuses in the PCM. Had help from the neigbours kid !!!
Standing in front of the pcm (Fusebox ) there is on the left side a 2o Amp
Fuse supposed to be set in a slot named : Ignition <---> Battery.
Which is the right position of the fuse? Towarts the Ign. side or Batt. side.
One more Question please.
Where do I find the Camshaft position sensor, and where do I find the crankshaft position sensor?
The darn Van will not start!
It all started with the van jumping (Engine) like a goat, and messing with the complete Instument cluster going crazy. (everything lighting up, and instruments going the wrong way)
The "code reader" spits out : No power to Ignition coil. I have read different threads to this issue, and tried different ideas, but until now, no succsess yet.
Thank you all for your time in this matter

The fuse you speak of is for the power outlets. If you set it to ignition, they only work with the key on. Set to battery, they work all the time.
Cam sensor is in the front cover, goes down from the top and is by the right motor mount. The crank sensor is on the rear side of the bell housing, kind of a pain to get to.
No power to ignition coil, power is supplied to the coil by the ASD relay when it sees an rpm input. Power to the relay is supplied by fuse 18, 25a.

If you don't mind, one more question !
That thing is haunted, now there is no power to the starter solenoid.

It won't make a "piep" with the ignition key turned.
I jumped the wire, with ignition " ON ", the darn thing cranks, but does not start.
I checked the connection at the solenoid, is ok, because the "yellow-silver" wire has no power about 5 inches back(needle tester)
I cannot smell gasoline, and it doesn,t seem to fire.
I tried this in "Park", and in "Neutral" shifter position!!!
I checked the wire connection under the fusebox,no luck, clean)
Any ideas? ( It looks like a major problem, black boxes, computer, etc.)
Thank you for now.

Hello Tizzy1
For what I can see, there is a black box with a silver cover and 7 screws
On the cover it says "caution, do not remove, can alter calibration, or so".
Is that the box you are talking about
Thank you Bugworks

Morning Tizzy
Thank you
No, there are no boxes arround the letters, just the letters and the lights below.
There must be more issues. I jumped the starter relay and it cranks, but doesn't start. I changed the relais arround still no crank. The code reader at one time stated: No power to ignition ! I followed and checked bundels of wires, but didn't find any faulty wire.
Thank you for your time.

Hello Tizzy
Just came back from town where I have had a conversation with an older gentleman, he said, It happened to him, he couldn't get the car started , there was something wrong with his keys. The dealer had to " reset " something ????
What is your opinion.
Thanks Bugworks
