Default Jet Chip and Superchip united

Well I hooked up my Superchip today. HOLY COW!! What a phenominal difference! The two play very well together. I test drove an SRT 8 the other day and I have to say the TB acts, if not performs, the same or better!!! My only thing is I don't want to pay 25 cents more per gallon for 91 so Im gonna try octane boost instead. So I figure I have around $4500 in headers, cats, exhaust, Jet, SC and CAI. Oh and SRT 8 Wheels. Not too bad!! Heck I still have $5500 in savings!! So anyway if anybody wants to run the two chips together "Git R Done!". I Love This Car!!

69,

I would like to see your track times from your current set up. For me, that would help me believing that a two chip Charger with headers beats an SRT8. I'm sure your getting a kick in the seat of the pants when you hit it, but... especially when you're doing it on 87 or 89 octane...

The .25 cents per gallon would be cheaper than octane boost. Those bottles are expensive.

For me, the biggest belief in your story is the headers. Nothing, but almost nothing, improves overall performance like headers (and good exhaust). DRONE be damned, I'm going to melt the back tires!!!

Get me those track times... then I'm a believer!

Dave B,

I'll butt in here and say Yes to your question.

I personally have the Jet 2 plug-in chip, and several others have the SuperChips programmer. There has been speculation about double-chipping a car, but for the long run, I think the jury is out. But just my guess -- maybe it's the way to go?!

OH, no. It does make a big difference! Before I got my SC, I had the JET Stage 2 chip in mine. It takes a week or two for everything to really start working right together, but then, hang on. It does make a difference. Does require a CAI and exhaust mods to work its best, though.

If you have an CAI, and exhaust mods, you want the JET Stage 2 chip. The instructions talk about changing the thermostat, but I didn't and I don't think anyone else has, except to fight the heat in places like Phoenix, Texas, etc. It's generally not necessary, or so it would seem. Check out the vendors here - I'm sure one of them has it.

Do you have to run 91 prem fuel w/ the chip??

I am still dealing with the knocking and pinging. I am now running 89 octane but I filled up at 1/8 of a tank. Still have a little more gas to burn. It is still knocking and pinging like a little bee-ache. With my exhaust mods I dont know what the hick dealership will say when I gpo back with the same issue.
