Very nice Iroc R/T. I always wanted one until I heard of their head problems and extremely limited chances of finding another good head.

 

Yet again. . . . this guy took care of the head problems as best he could, and had a new gasket put in when he rebuilt it.

for all those who say the 3.0s have no aftermarket, you're mostly right... the 3.0L has very few parts built, which makes it all the better when you see these engines pushing 250 hp, n/a... im looking forward to turboing my 3.0 before the end of the year... my goal is 300 hp at the crank...

and then the expensive parts come in... bigger turbo, forged internals... but be aware that the stock internals of a 3.0 will handle 10 psi, no problem, much more than your average n/a engine...

 

I have 2 86 turbo zs both ttops cars one is a shelby the other isnt both 2.2 t1 turbos both auto the non shelby is near mint

 

Pennsylvania here....ihave a 93 dodge daytona...3.0 v-6...and i am mad.....reason beening is its not a turbo......but it is still fast and handles awesome......i wish i knew how i could make it faster or possible even put turbo on it..need help or advice

 

newbe hear had three 90-91es-93 all 2.5 no turbo.
90 blew a rod and then got stolen right of the highway Ignorant ******
91 blown head gasket and bad fuel pump. gave to friend
93 low knock(probably rod also) hole in radiator aprox 2inch, and oil in radiator-of course head gasket.

all three nothing but problems, but I am just so attached to them Everyone says to get rid of it but the only way that will happen is if by fire, and even that might not even work.

 

I'm new to the site, but I have a 86 daytona. 2.5 liter non-turbo. put alot of work into, but wouldn't get rid of it for anything in the world.

 

I have an 1988 white Daytona hatchback 2.5 liter Automatic and i love it!

 

Own 3 now. Just sold the fourth last week.

Hey, all... I have a '92 Daytona ES (Extra Special) and a '95 Subaru Legacy wagon.. The Daytona is dead, with a blown transmission, and a bad oil leak into the radiator... I love the car, it's looks, and how it feels on the road hitting about 100mph.. i wouldn't trade it in for the world. I'll be getting it fixed in the spring time.
