i own a 91 daytona es v6 3.0 with 50k original miles. Its red with gray ground effects with the snowflake rims.

 

I'm new to the group.

'87 Shelby Z Silver (2nd Daytona, first was an '84 Red & Silver Daytona Turbo)
stock T-Roof, manual T (of course, automatics & Shelby's don't seem to go together)
purchased new (yes, I must be old :-) )
Odometer broke at 207K (about 2 years ago) but the engine still runs like a charm!
It's my daily driver.

Im a Norwegian dude that ust bought my Daytona a week ago, its a 86 Dodge Daytona 2.2 turbo Z, with a 88 engine in it.
Its a project car witch has been under water (accually driven off a pier)[:@]

87-2.5l Just put in a newer engine from a 93 something.Last year for the 2.5.
100 hp is good enough for a commuter car.

I have an 89 Shelby and its my 3rd Daytona. I am looking for a 4th. A Daytona C/S t-top, wish me luck. PV.

 

I bought a new 1987 Shelby Z when I was 20......I LOVED that car......she was black with gold leather and t-tops and we went Mustang and Camaro eating on a regular basis. Sadly, she's long gone. Maybe someone out there has her. I can only hope so. I vowed, someday, to own another one. FF to November 30, 2005. While browsing a local want-ad, I came across an ad for a 1987 Dodge Daytona Shelby Z in non-running condition. I contacted the owner who said they think that maybe the block is cracked. It will crank but not start. Everything else appears to work. I haven't even begun to see WTF the issue is. The car came from New Mexico. NO rust, very straight body (some minor dings, but the paint's even still shiny!) and a great interior (for the age). It's a hardtop, so no worries abot rotting t-top seals, etc. It's white with a red cloth interior with the power seat, etc. And yes, it's a 5 speed! Here's the best part.......IT WAS FREE!!!!!! All I had to do was tow it away!!! I'll post some photos in a few days. You'll sh*t a brick when you see the condition of this car. I'm so incredibly stoked, it's like a dream. I can't friggin' wait to get it running again. All original 1 owner family that even gave me ALL the service records!!! FREE!!!!![sm=groupwave.gif]
