Here's a good place to go if interested in building a CAI kit. http://shop.airflowonline.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv

I'm picking up my new RT ,tomorrow. I was talking with the dealer about the SRT-8. They have a 300 SRT coming in next month. BTW, it sold for 10K above sticker. She told me that they're only making about 1000 Magnum SRT-8's
If you want one, better get in line and open the checkbook.

Well color me surprised and a half - got a phone call last night from the missing Mr.Anderson, who again came across not as a scammer, but a very disorganized kinda guy - it's hard not to like the guy, he comes across very well.

He's promised my stuff by Tuesday this time, what are the chances?

I sent PM's to two others in here who seem to be lacking their stuff, I guess we'll see.

Mike
So Mike did Ty Deliver?

Ooops! Yup, he finally delivered and when I get a decent day I'll put the rest of it in. Not all that bad looking of a kit and from looking underneath,
I seriously doubt there's any danger from below, unless I park in a 12-14" deep puddle. Got a feeling the element will stay cleaner under the headligh
than in the engine bay..

Now that Volant has developed a CAI, he's missed the boat, hasn't he?
That thing is a joke. It's a stock airbox.... without the resonator. You can do that a whole lot cheaper.

Still the only intake worth mentioning. Ty will be back in business at the end of the month now that he finally got a connection to the internet again. He's having to use a Cingular service for wireless internet. The cable and DSL folks fell through on him.

Parts will be stocked again soon..... no timeline. It's disappointing, but well worth the wait. I believe he has like 1 left that has been anodized blue.

Anyhow, I think everyone that ordered got their parts. You're welcome.

PS I traded the Magnum for a '05 Dakota becuase I'm moving. I'll probably make one of it too.

Yeah, the source being a guy who made a turbo on the Grand AM happen. The guy that made the first real CAI of the Magnum. The guy that will probably do the same with the '05 Dakota. I'd say the source is pretty good. Thanks for the compliment.

So who are you? Random loser trolling on boards?

Read through this whole thing...
looked at the "prototype" photos and the website...
Went out to the car, made a few measurments.

Humm...he is a diesel mechanic?

The nice shiney pipe sure looks a lot like the exhaust pipe on my father in laws Freightliner....
mandrel bent and all...

Even if its not the same, just about any metal tubing supplier can cut them for you...

Called Goodyear rubber supply in town, they carry just about every degree elbow in just about any size you want, a 4" black 90 degree sells for $8.99, a compound for $10.99...

lets see, 5 big hose clamps, what, $2.99 each, two rubber elbows, $22.00, and a piece of scrap pipe out of my father in laws junk pile.. bend up a few mounting brackets.....
so, how much is the K&N filter he hustles you for?

Ed

Umm no. Yeah, the clamps are cheap. The hose costs a lot more than you say, becuase it's a silicone compound not natural rubber. The mandrel bent aluminum tubing costs a wee bit more than you think it does; it requires bending, cutting, polishing, and if you like anodizing in either one or two colors. So if you don't know don't comment. Forgot to mention the breather filter as well. And let's see..... how many like this are on the market? If you can do better, go ahead, be my guest.

How much is that plastic crap?
