Magnum won't start please help
Okay so I just purchased an 06 Dodge Magnum it is been sitting up for about 4 years in someone's backyard it has about a hundred thirty thousand miles on it so I get in it to try to start it and it just won't crank what could be my issues. I was thinking maybe the fuel pump someone please help
Can you hear the fuel pump when you turn the key on (not start, just to "on")? The pumps are under the backseat so you should hear something when they kick on. After sitting that long it may also take a minute for enough fuel to get up there. I take it it had a dead battery before this?
be honest with me is pretty much just me working on it so and I know absolutely nothing about cars but I do think I can hear the fuel pump I can't be a hundred percent sure but I think that I do I went out there and tried to start it again today and it did start for a second but it turns right back off .if I do figure out that it's the fuel pump will I have to buy both the fuel pumps or how do I know which one is bad or how does that work and if it's not the fuel pump what in the world could it be any ideas

One pump is to keep both sides of the tank level, the other is to pump it to the engine. Stupid question; does it have gas and how old is it? If it's been sitting for four years and you're using the gas in the tank you're gonna play hell trying to get it to run on what is essentially varnish now.
Sounds like the ignition is locked out. After at least 3 fail attempts the ignition will lock and you won't be about to unlock it unless you have the key code and hook up a battery charger for 1 to 2 hours with the key on.
