No no no I am not going to give you your crappy way and post pics of my hahn turbo 96 must not read any drag racing magazines or road and track or car and driver there are lots of articles about the hahn turbo kit in a automatic 1st gen neon faster than a srt4 . Ive had a srt4(acr) and have 2 neons now and you devils reject only have a stratus so how would you know about any srt4s . Imports like the sti are better made than most american cars. Stis are better in alot of ways to a srt4. Just tired of dodges time for a real import beast. Now theres 3 trouble makers and Im a gal and a little older than you guys. Ive had my 96 for 10 years now so I know a bit more than you about turbo neons. My 2004 sxt has alot of engine mods plus nitrous.

Reject, why do you insist on spewing your mouthful of diarrhea on these boards? There are dozens of Neons with a bolt-on turbo kit on the stock bottom end running 12's. Most DOHC's run 13's with absolutely no other modifications. Chris Barnett's turbo Neon ran an 11.9 last season with the Hahn Stage 2 (side-mount intercooler), and he's never seperated the head from the block on that motor (i.e. stock internals). To the best of my knowledge, he's the quickest stock internal Neon out there.

Neon2.0T, if you are only running 15's, I feel incredibly sorry for you. I was running high 14's naturally aspirated 2 seasons ago. And I'm slow.

Matt_92988, you would be lucky to run 18's in your car right now. With the Hahn Stage 2 (intercooled) and a decent cam (and maybe some lighter wheels...), you should have no problems getting deep into the 14's. With the Zex/Comp Cams 200 cam, you wouldn't even need to upgrade the valvesprings. Upgrading valvesprings "for a turbo" is like upgrading wheels to handle a subwoofer... stupid... You don't need a cam gear unless you upgrade the cam. And a cam on your engine naturally aspirated isn't that much, since you don't rev high enough to use the bulk of the new power band.

Kevin in MA (Graphite03 on "the .org") has the SRT-4 turbo setup on his stock 2.0L 2003 bottom end and is making 219 whp and 249 wtq. You don't need the SRT-4 block to make power. The only "built" portions are the pistons and rods, and even those are weaker than the aftermarket parts available out there (for the 2.0L or the 2.4L). The 2.0L Neon block (forged internals) has been dynoed over 600 HP. It's plenty capable of handling whatever you want to do to it. The older 2.4L block has been tried and tested plenty, the SRT-4 block has not become the block of choice for 2.4L turbo Neon enthusiasts (it's still the non-turbo PT Cruiser block, by the way).

Radarlove,

--You obviously know nothing about cars or engines.......
--You have obviously never been to a track.......
--15's are around 1 second faster than a stock neon......it is a big difference but still not very fast
--Just because it is DOHC does not mean you will run 17's much less 13's.........
--I can't believe a lot of you think you can possibly run 13's or even 14's in a stock Neon, unbelieveable.....haha

Matt, a 16.8 sec 1/4 mile may be stock for a 5-speed. If you have an auto, you aren't close.

2.0T... I'm at a loss... You have a whopping 4 posts here and have already managed to read through all of mine to make the determination that I don't know anything about cars or engines. You've lived in New England so long and made every trip to NED with your fantastic memory to know that my car was never there. The timeslip database on "the .org" is obviously a big fake, you have verifiable proof, I'm sure. So I'll just have to let everyone know what a big fat failure I am in your eyes and put in my sig your brilliant assessment. I hang my head in shame.

LOL

The auto's are way slower than the manuals Neons.

AirWolf: If you are telling the truth just post some pictures of the facts and shut everyone up. The way it looks, I think you're on that BS though.

Neon2.0T: Low 15's on the 1/4 mile seems very very slow for having a turbo kit on your car.

yea matt no way ur in the 16's with ur automatic neon, maybe stick. i would never turbo an automatic not only because i dont want to be made fun of to death but also because ur not getting as much power than u could out of a standard. u lose alot of power with autp transmission. in my opinion the best way to get the most power for the least cash is srt-4 swap engine and tranny. my automatic neon that was swapped had nooooo power or pickup probably much like urs. i went from roughly 120 hp to 223.3hp @5200 rpm. i got about 100 more horsepower at the wheels for reletively cheap.remember automatic turbo=gay.o yea and about the sti's. sti $30,000~srt-4 $20,000+$10,000 in parts and ull be killing sti's left and right. o yea i wanna see pics of the 10 sec 1st gen turbo neon lololololololololo
