Turbo 4 my neon...

You all can tell about your rides and not post pics so LEAVE ME THE CRAP ALONE! STAY ON Topic auto turbos are just as fast and nice as 5 speed turbos look at the charger srt8 and the grand national or gnx some are 800 to 1000 hp rides. Thats that. All turbo rides are nice and fast.

I am going to try and get this forum back on track by posting my personal opinions on a turbo neon (STOCK).
A turbo on a stock neon will bring you a lot closer to a fast car. Any turbo, like said above, will push a car to go faster. HOWEVERm you have to prepare for a turbo.
Most people just slap on a turbo and think it will go forever. WRONG. A turbo on a stock engine will, literally, bend pistons and destroy your engine if you dont watch your car. You have to, seriosuly, poor some money into the engine and transmission to handle a full blown turbo.
I will be more than happy to give some respectable modifications before a turbo.
Such things would be:
-Headers
-Full Exhaust system: (since you have the muffler and pipes, you can pick up a custom bent 2.25 in. exhuast from a shop that will do it. It will, all together including the part you have, as much as a full system would have.).
-CAI (which you have i beleive)
-60mm Throttle Body
-New Fuel Pump
-New Ignition and Wires
-New Spark Plugs
(a big step forward if you dont feel like doing all those bolt ons would be a simple port-n-polish, a bore increase, forged pistons, and there ya go. An engine that can handle some boost).
anything after that is just prepping the car for further success. I HIGHLY EMPHASIZE all those things before throwing a turbo. We all know what a turbo runs on, high pressure exhuast. So, why not get your car a fresh pair of lungs, a better fuel system, and then just chuck on a turbo.
10 bucks says you will see mid to low 14's even without the forged pistons and a port and polish.

i have some new plans for my neon...what do you guys think?
I looked into a Venom Kit...it's only a 10oz. bottle with 50, 75, 100 nozzles (i'd use the 50) that costs 350.
Then header n' high flow cat-$170
Underdrive Pulley with new belts-$120
Cam Shaft-$185 (a lot of work, but my father can do it with his eyes closed)
I'm guessing the 3 parts will give me around 20 HP and the nitrous will give around 50.
I think i'll be sitting right around 200HP to the crank, maybe 170-180 the wheels.

Yeah, Im trying to do a few things on fireworks right now...im "borrowing" it from my school lol
I wish I could have the engine out for easier access but i think i can still change the camshaft without taking in out of the engine compartment

I take it you have Fireworks MX? If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I'm using Fireworks 8.0, which is the last and latest version.
