also sti is black with new 18 inch tires and bronze wheels. all kinds of engine goodies and its a 2004 with 15 thousand miles 24 grand and 2006 srt8 with 22 inchers and some engine goodies with 750 miles on it for 35 grand. Both pretty nice rides. But more leading towards the srt8. 3 grand is nice for a complete srt4 swap and yes it would include shifter and everything.

i think im jus gunna turbo my neon, i honestly dont care what people have to say about it. I'm gunna run it at 8 PSI n' it'll be a quick car i kno that

I've also owned a S/C 96 Z26 Beretta and a 65 SS Impala with the 327. What in the HELL does what I drive at the moment have anything to do with my knowledge of cars? ZERO!!!!! You drive a f***ing Neon SXT.......guess that means your even STUPIDER then I am huh? No, it doesnt mean a damn thing. Did I ever once diss imports? No, I simply said that there are a ton more people on those boards who think a fast car is a stock ride with neons and a fart can.

You've had a 96 turbo'd car for 10 years....so the hell what. My stepdad has owned all kinds of muscle cars and a friend of our family works on a funny car. Just because you OWN a car doesnt mean you KNOW **** about it.......

Reject, why do you insist on spewing your mouthful of diarrhea on these boards? There are dozens of Neons with a bolt-on turbo kit on the stock bottom end running 12's. Most DOHC's run 13's with absolutely no other modifications. Chris Barnett's turbo Neon ran an 11.9 last season with the Hahn Stage 2 (side-mount intercooler), and he's never seperated the head from the block on that motor (i.e. stock internals). To the best of my knowledge, he's the quickest stock internal Neon out there.

Neon2.0T, if you are only running 15's, I feel incredibly sorry for you. I was running high 14's naturally aspirated 2 seasons ago. And I'm slow.
For starters, aint a single bolt on kit going to shave 4 or more seconds off a car....I dont care what you are smoking. Taking a base model 2005 SE Neon and slapping a bolt on turbo kit onto it is NOT going to make it do a 12 second quarter mile. You are a damn fool if you think otherwise. Running a mid 14 second 1/4 mile naturally aspirated in a Neon huh? It's possible....but what did you do to it? Alot more then a CAI and some headers....

Matt_92988, you would be lucky to run 18's in your car right now. With the Hahn Stage 2 (intercooled) and a decent cam (and maybe some lighter wheels...), you should have no problems getting deep into the 14's. With the Zex/Comp Cams 200 cam, you wouldn't even need to upgrade the valvesprings. Upgrading valvesprings "for a turbo" is like upgrading wheels to handle a subwoofer... stupid... You don't need a cam gear unless you upgrade the cam. And a cam on your engine naturally aspirated isn't that much
Wait, you just told him to get a turbo and he'd get deep into the 14's.....yet you are running in the 14's naturally aspirated.....so why doesnt he do what you did.....oh wait....that would mean building up the motor/going to aftermarket parts......which IS WHAT I SAID he would have to do anyways.....a bolt on kit is going to add about 75-110hp. It will not shave 3 seconds off your 1/4 mile time if you are already in the 15's. It will also at some point kill your motor since most stock internals cant handle more then 5-7lbs of boost. They will wear out twice as fast...

If you dont like what I'm saying, go ask MChat....his SRT-4 should see about 5-600hp in a few weeks when its done....and he has a roll cage.....

I was just saying if you have a auto your should go with a hahn the best out there for automatics . I had a acr srt4 so I know they are cool and super fast just saying they are great turbo swaps for 5 speeds ok. Oh I would not call a sti or wrx a fast ride with neons and a rice can alright or even a supra. Also the sti and wrx and supra are so fast stock . Yeah I do know alot about hahn turbos and neons in general so thats that.

That is definitely one thing I will agree with you on. The GN/GNX was and most likely still is the fastest stock automatic turbo car built. The SRT-8 models are a push...because with a 6.1L v8 dropping over 425hp.....you had better be fast.....

The STI/WRX are fun to drive and can be made super fast....there's a student where I work with a 300ZX TT and I would love to have it. Imports are just as fast if not faster in some regards to American built cars. I've just seen entirely too many people slapping a body kit, a wing, a fart can, and neons onto a stock ride and saying they have a super fast car. Too many idiots watchin Fast & the Furious.

However, automatics are not always the better turbo/supercharged car. It's all about gearing.

Thats all I was getting at the imports you are talking about are generally the ricers like hondas and acuras . My 2 neons are just fast cause of the hahn turbo in my 96 and nitrous in my 04 but mostly for show the sxt is just have a little power to back up her looks. My next ride is either going to be a srt8 charger or sti or even a gnx.
