Anyway, turbo neons are slow, they make NO POWAH! Especially at 10psi... haha
BTW, i did a 15.9 with 120 whp... If my car wasn't MA and me in HI, i'd let you know what 100 more whp and 120 more wtq would net ya.

You should really reconsider starting crap.....
Alright, its obvious airwolf is full of it. If she had an 11 second neon and it was turbo and auto there would be no reason to show it off. Hell if my neon was that fast I would be like "bam bitches, who wants some?" I wouldn't be making bull**** excuses up the wazoo. So post up or shut up. No one cares about your car. Its imaginary until you prove it. As for turboing a neon. I say go for it. If it was me I would rather do an SRT4 swap simply because its a bigger engine, and it comes with the turbo tuned. But if I couldn't do that I would turbo my engine wihtout hesitation. And the engine not holding the power is a load of ****. Most the people saying that don't even drive neons, nor do they have a neon with a turbo. I browse the "internet" quite a bit and have seen plenty of neons with turbos that had stock bottom ends making plenty of power, I've also seen some as well. I agree with radar for once.......Stratus ran mid 15s stock or a magazine said it does? Saying and doing are two different things...

A 2.0L Neon can handle being turbo'd. It cant handle being ran at above 7-8psi of boost for a long period of time though. The internals werent built for that. I've seen several 11-12 second Neons...but even those cars had alot of work...not just ONE mail order bolt on kit. I offered the SRT-4 swap as a better overall idea AND its about as evenly priced with most turbo kits....not to mention there is a much more available resource with all the SRT-4 forums. I've also spoken with, been around several people who own turbo cars...including the Neons. It can make plenty of power....doesnt mean its going to make your car run high 13's low 14's in a 18 sec auto Neon. FYI, you dont need to drive a Neon to know what a turbo can do to the motor. You of all people know that. I've also ran several cars at the track. Every magazine or article I've seen on my Stratus has it in the mid 15 range...and considering BadStratRT, who has the autostick, ran a 16.1 at a track....I feel confident knowing my car should perform around what the magazines have stated. I'll have slips for sure by summer's end.

The SRT-4 Neon is turboed...obviously THEY MAKE POWER. The topic was should he turbo a base model'd motor. We gave our opinions. Then you wanted to be a smarta$$ with your comment regarding my car. Thats why I suggested you should reconsider starting crap.

just in case there is any confusion... my car is a 2.0l SOHC base motor. Everybody knows the SRT-4 motor is turbo'd, just like you mentioned. As you stated, the convo here is about the motor i run. Also, never limit a stock motor to psi. Its not psi it can handle its torque. My motor handles 10psi beautifully, and i even turned it up to 14psi on a good tune to shut up a cobb stage 2 wrx. power and tune, or lack there of, is what breaks motors...

13 is possible with stock bottum end but that is mtx. I don't a atx could reach that on stock bottum end. It is possible but you would have too remove alot of weight too get there
