Mayfair, I got to looking at my pump, and remeber that it has a fuel heater in it. You have to plumb coolant lines from your heater to the pump if you want the heater. I'll take lots of pics, should make a good saturday. Got the pump, now all I need to get is beer

Yeah,I just got mine today too. I was looking at the instructions andI saw those ports. I believe they are the"H" ports. I was under the impression they were for some sort of fuel COOLANT lines or something like that, not heater. It says to just leave the red caps on if your notrunning coolant lines I think.

Dude I think you're right. I think I CAN probably do this job myself. I'll know better once I see where the factory fuel lines go into the VP-44 just to see how difficult that portion of the job is going to be. Other than that the job seems pretty straightforward.

One thing i didn't see or don't know the answer to. Can you now remove the original fuel filter / pump entirely? The instructions didn't mention it.

You can remove the old pump and filter or plumb into the factory filter as I did. Theports on the Fass Pump are for coolant lines (from radiator)which would pre-heat your fuel.

Where are the factory fuel heater lines now? Do I / we even have any?

How the heck does a "coolant line" HEAT the fuel?

In the winter my engine coolant temp runs around 180 degrees, circulate that through the FASS pump and it's bound to warm the fuel.

If you’re worried about heating your fuel just plumb the FASS to your existing fuel filter which should have a fuel heater built in along with a water sensor. Double filtering will not drop fuel pressure, WOT the lowest recorded fuel pressure I've seen is 12psi otherwise it’s been a steady 15psi.

Ahhh ... gotcha

Are there lines currently running from the radiator to the factory fuel filter?

Why are you running both the FASS and the factory fuel filter still? Changing the FASS filter looks like it's gonna be a heck of a lot easier than the stock one is. If I can eliminate the stock one, I'm gonna.
