what all would i have to have to make it posiable. would it better to get a demolished truck that the motor and drivetrain is good? that way i'd have everything. the truck isn't a daily driver so theres no time limit i was wanting to put bigger turbo, injectors, intercooler, intake, fass, etc b4 i even get it driveable

I'd saystart with the wrecked truck if you can. Everything will be there and you can just pull the parts off. It'll make life easier since you won't be chasing parts down from place to place. You might also check and see if there'sinfo somewhere on the internet for someone that's done the swap before. I'd almost bet that there is somewhere.

i think the 2 biggest factors are going to be weight and computers if u plan to go with a 24v. if it where me i would go with a 12 vavle just for complexity issues. and i would go with a 94-97 model year they had the p-7100 injection pumps that have just about no fueling limits the fastest drag trucks still havent hit the limit with these pumps.

sounds like a plan. i'm glad there people i can talk to about stuff with out geting called a Dumb@$$. Thx for all the info. also as far as weight. i kno i'll probly beef up the frame a lil but should i take the coils and stuff off the wrecked 2500 to take care of the extra weight?

Plan on beefing up that frame more than just a little. The big C weighs about twice what the little gasser you're taking out does. Don't forget that the entire rest of the driveline is going to have to be upgraded too, at least a 47RE/H tranny (a beefed up 727 could handle it too, but no overdrive built in), D70 out back, D60 up front. 1500s are independent front 'spension, the D60 is going to be a stick axle.
