I have a 2005 CTD and the window sticker said it has 610 f/lbs. of torque. What is the difference between it and the HO CTD. Mine says 5.9 liter. Also does anyone know how f/lbs. of torque the Duramax and Super Duty put out in the comparable sized motors? Thanks!

 

The ho has a little more torque, just programming. No internal changes. I'm not sure on the ford or chevy's torque. The chevy is a 6.6l and the ford a 6.0l

 

Hey jake, How would I know if mine is a HO or not? I dont see anything saying it is but ive heard all the new ones are. Whats your thoughts?

 

In '05 the Ford 6.0L had about 560 ft/lbs of torque. Not sure on the dmax. The latest Ford 6.4 is supposed to have 650 ft/lbs I think.

 

Actually, I'm not sure if they had an ho in 06. I think you got the 325 motor.

 

the 2007 dodges have the HO or was their a HO in 2004?What does the HO do for HP rating?

04.5 the HO went away. now all you have is a standard HP rating across the board all thanks to the CARB crap on the engine
