A new crate engine would be best. Remans always want cores and if you can't rebuild it, it isn't good for a core. That reminds me, yesterday we had a truck towed in complaining about a cylinder missing. Opened the hood an to my surprise the con rod was sitting on the frame rail.

fire ringing the head?

DOOOOD.......that sucks. Even knowing full well what can/will happen, it still sucks when it does. But, now you can build a new on the way you want. I bet that's going to be pretty fun.

I figured if I buy a new motor, I can part this one out and make a good amount of money back. That way I won't be out of pocket as much as I could be
When you do get to that point, let us know what you got. I'm sure some of us could take some stuff off your hands.

Not the likeiest place to find a rod ! There's a guy with an 06 over at the diesel garage that blew his motor too. He was running meth/water and many more mods than I was.

Yes, I'll being ringing it, performance cam, springs, injectors...etc. It will be badass without drugs :-)

no drugs ! that's a sure way to do it again. I don't know what kinda hp I'll see but, I'm gonna do as much internally as I can. That outta be good for some major hp and or security.

I'd be nice to get 650 out of it on fuel only. I do want to keep it drivible though. I just want to be able to drive it to the track, race it and drive it home without being concerned about the little things. Yes, I know no matter what you do things will still break but, maybe not as much or as bad when done right.

I take it they had to use a press to get that wrist pin outta the piston and rod.
