It's $75 becuase it's a 10 min job to change the speedometer/abs and they charge an hour anyways. They (dealer) never prorate their labor.

Naaah Riv, I'm not looking to get anything hog wild, I'm just looking for a boost in my mileage. Hearing you guy's day after day talk about getting anywhere from 17 on up really kinda bums me out since I'm lucky to stay in the 14's driving like Miss Daisy. The one thing you all seem to have in common is some sort of mileage enhancer, thus my new way of thinking. I'd be THRILLED to be getting 17mpg !!

The edge doesn't recalibrate your speedo for tire size, it compensates on the Attitude to show actual speed. I don't think this will help you get where you want to be. As far as mileage enhancing, I got the Quad XZT it claims 4 mpg and on a long trip I did OK, but I don't think I picked up 4 mpg. I will know better how it does after a week of driving around home to compare with previousmileage. See if you can get to talk with a tech at the dealer and then maybe you can slip him a 20 and get it done on the sly.

Okay........that would make sense. It would correct the speed shown on theattitude, not the truck's speedo.

That price is just to use their device. Its about average (still a rip-off) for using any mechanic's electronics. I'd buy a chip that adjusts personally just incase I change tire sizes again ( I switch between my 35's and the stockers often).

My dealer did it for free; I don't see why they would charge for that. If you want more power, the Smarty has a speedo recalibrater built in.

Which Edge did you go with jake, the EZ or the Comp ??

What kinda mileage are you getting?

I'm more curious to your set up since you seem to have the model / year closest to mine ( 2nd gen )
