alright guys. . .after seeing what happened to shaun, and making the comment about a phone listing that seems to be a hotter idea than pictures of a naked Linday Lohan here we go.

I know TDR has their travel companion, I have a few copies of it on hand and can format it close to that through an excell spreadsheet.

in the travel companion it lists if the person is for emergency only, or if it can be an anytime call for BS. Distance the individual is willing to travel to help out, workspace available, how skilled the person is, tools available, parts, weither you have acess to truck/trailer/RV parking and transportation.

since we are small (compared to TDR) it would be good to list in regions instead of actual states. breakdown could be North east(New England area, NY, PA, NJ), Mid Atlantic(DE, MD, DC, WV, VA, KY), South East(NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN), Mid South(MS, LA, TX, AR, OK) Great Lakes area(OH, IN, IL, MC, WS), Mid Plains(MS, KS, IA, NB) North Plains(ND, SD, MN) North Rockies(MO, ID, WY) South Rockies(UT, CO, AZ, NM) South Pacific(CA, NV) North Pacific(WA, OR), then Alaska and Hawaii. kinda hard to group you guys together. . .sorry

if there are other things needed in there they can be added in. I can put this together then e-mail it out when done. when e-mailing me be sure to include
screen name:
real name:
city and state:
phone number(s) to include:
Emergency only or Conversation & resources:
Distancewilling to travel:
type of work area if available: *
Skill level for repairs: **
Tool avilable: ***
Parking: ****
Transportation avialable:

*please list either indoor or outdoor
**1= professional mechanic, 2=very skilled, 3=knowledgable, 4=basic, 5=understands manuals and types of tools
*** (list all that applies) AC= Air Compressor, W=Welder, BT=basic tools, or FSS=Full Shop Set
**** VO=Vehicle Only, TRV=Trailer/RV Parking

if there is anything else that needs to be added post it up.

How often do you intend on updating? I am in the Navy and am going to be moving across country in October, and 1 year after that... Should I just wait to give info until I get to my next place?

I'm sure not many of you end up in Saskatchewan (unless you are bird or deer hunting), but I will provide my info if you feel it may be of some benefit. Maybe not though Drew, it looks like all of Canada was black-balled[sm=sigh.gif]

cool. . .

I'm thinking of making a cut-off date of Aug 3rd for the first version.

I'm still toying around with the fields and getting them set where they can be printed off easily. so if you want to be in it shoot me an e-mail and I'll e-mail it back to that address.
