it's a high flow pre-filter to keep crap out of the pump that may come from the tank. From there it goes to the stock filter, back to the 2 micron filter and then on to the CP3

That is a hell of a setup. The fitting that says EARLS on it looks like an inline fuel filter. I am running them on my CJ.

OK, lemme see if I have this right ...

The fuel comes out of the fuel tank - throuht the Earls fitting - through the Wallboro - then to a Y which it looks like some of the fuel is returned back to the tank throught the top ( rubber ) line. The other half of the Y goes to the stock fuel filter - back to the Fleetguard filter - then finally back to the CP-3

Do I have that right?

Two questions ...

1. Why continue to use the stock fuel filter

2. Where is the water seperator

Triton, where does the line coming off of the top of the T prior to the pump go? I’m not going to mess with AN fittings on this job. Like I said, I did it on my CJ and Mayfair is right, it costs a nice chunk of green. You can’t beat the look of them though, nice job.

The Y you're referring to is actually a T really tho... where you see it T and go back to the tank, that is the fuel return and the brass fitting is a by-pass pressure valve. It can be tuned to several different pressure settings. It comes set at 22psi which is where my pump likes it the most.

The stock filter is now secondary 7 micron filter on top of the other 2 micron Fleetguard filter. The stock filter housing is where the fuel heater and water separator are. I could have eliminated it but, wanted to keep the heater working on the fuel.

So, between the pre filter, stock filter and Fleetguard filter..... I don't think I'll be getting many contaminates in my pressure pump or injectors

I get the filters from Ryder fleet products online for $12.00 The filter kit is a part of GDP's " Big Line kit " here...http://www.glacierdieselpower.com/de...dept_id=08-001

I too kept my stock fuel filter housing for the same reasons, however I eliminated the filter. I didn't want to restrict the flow from the FASS, and I didn't feel like maintaining another filter.
