NCcummins just put some nozzles on his truck, hopefully he will chime in with his thoughts. Other than that, I'm just starting to learn more about injectors and everything associated with them.
I was just wondering the other day if it would be smarter to keep the injectors I have and replace the nozzles. I assume that this is the same as just buying new injectors but less expensive???
If you just do the nozzles you'll have to have somebody install them onto yur injectors. I say just for the lack of downtime, just get the whole injectors.
well a guy quoted me 120$ to install the nozzels and only 3hrs to install. 240 for nozzles and 120 for the install = 360 which is better than the price of injectors.. so what yall think? and what stage?
I assume you're looking at the jammer nozzles. I have the stage 5 nozzles and definitely noticed a difference. I noticed high EGTs too, but nothing I can't live with. They are great for the money, but I think I'm gonna save up some more cash to buy some DDP or F1 sticks.
what else do you have on your truck to support those jammer stage 5 nozzels?
I've got a 14cm turbine housing, but that's about it. I can see 1500+ with the banks wire tap switched on, but with just my XZT+ it's awesome and no EGT problems. I plan on maybe doing budget twins later.
