Default any Deer hunters here??

I was just wondering how many guys here hunt deer. i know I do and I went out for the first time last night sitting out at the edge of a chopped cornfield on our property. archery of course ( archery my fav hunting by far) not bad for a first day. saw 10 deer 9 doe 1 nice buck. I wanted to shoot the buck but I got spotted by one yearling that didn't give me the chance to draw. It didn't realy spot me but it picked out my shape and was just staring at me the whole time. the buck was about a 40 yrd shot which is well within my range to shoot. I forgot how hard the blood churns when you see a deer. what a feeling.

I'm ready to hunt but not with a bow. My hats of to you guys that have enough patients to fine tune a compound bow and hunt with it. I just never could get one thing adjusted right without trowing something else off. maybe I would do better with a re curve.

Mayfair sometimes I think people would be easier to shoot to especially in traffic[:@]

I personally have not done it since I was a kid; just bad timing this time of year is always busy for me at work. But I send the hubby out to try. Hopefully this weekend he and my dad can get my freezer filled up

Been hunting and fishing for many years, guess it's a southern thing. Mostly hunt in Mississippi, but here's a nice buck from Oklahoma from a few years ago. Pic's are before and after the taxidermist. __________________________________________________ ______________________________

That's a dandy Bigriver.

Got the first 2 weeks of November off forvacation. I'll be spending most of it in a tree with the bow. Can't wait.

The little buck in my avatar was on my trail camera. Some kinda tumor or something never saw anything like it. Kinda looks like a turbo on his windpipe.

Thanks Behindbars, Those are far and few. Yeah, since you'd mentioned it,I looked closer at you avatar. That is a strange growth on that buck's neck, I think I'd let him walk !
