Default Larger fuel tanks

Anyone running a larger fuel tank, the 50 - 60 gallon ones, if so where did you get it, metal, plastic and how do you like it ?

I am thinking this will be my next mod as I can only get about 5 hours pulling 13500lbs and would like about 8 hours of driving out of a tank, also will not make me get fuel from smaller volume ( contaminated fuel ) service stations

Yep that is one type, but I know there is a plastic one also, and I think that shipping to me from there would be almost the price of the tank, but thanks for the response

Ralph,

Here's another option

www.xxtank.com

Is a replacement tank that is larger and goes in where the stock tank is located using same sending unit and such...I personally don't have it installed, but looks like a great idea, esp. since you don't lose any bed space.

The new 6.7 cab-chassis Cummins Ram

I think he's wantin a replacement since he said he can get 5 hours and wants 8hrs...
The link I posted earlier was for replacements and there polyethylene alloy.... if you gotta 35 gal now you'l be gettinabout 8hrs with a this 55 gallon...not a bad price really, well dependin on how bad you wanna go w/o stoppin

Personally I'd toss in a FASS while you got the tank out too...just me

Thanks Aero Ram, that is the one I was looking for,,,, Yes a replacement tank as I have 10.5' truck camper that goes in the box and haul a 30' trailer full of ATV's or , just my cap on and take the 30' Toy Hauler, but no matter which one, I NEED MORE FUEL RANGE and that extra 20 or so gallons will make the differance for us.
I was thinking about the FASS ( had it on my 2002 , but it was also moded out differant and WAY more power them this girly truck I have now) and might do it then , or maybe just a better pump.

Thanks

Ralph

Glad I could be of A-Sis-Tance

If 55 gallons ain't enough I got some good links for Transfer tanks and under tool box tanks, etc.even the autofill system (automatically fills your main tank from the ext tank when it get down to 1/2 and fills it to 3/4 tills the ext tank is empty...even has a gauge for the external that mounts in the cab....man I should sell these things
