Default Truck just died

so the other day i was driving home for lunch and it was like someone just turned the key off on me. the canister seems to have fuel in it and i can't see any reason why it won't start back up. this is my only form of transportation so any help would be greatly appreciated. by the way i have a 99 2wd CTD.
thanks
jake

I would check the lift pump. Mine did the exact same thing a while ago. Check for codes using the key and dont keep trying to start it until you know the fuel pressure is ok.

His is a 99 he won't be able to do the key trick (that started in 2000 or 2001). He'll need to get a code reader.

I got a high ciruit input code when my lift pump went out, but my truck did the same thing, just died while I was going 45 mph. Good luck on fixing the problem.
